Is it possible that all of these victories will finally give Democrats some cajones to actually get something done for the voters who keep overwhelmingly rejecting the GOP in election after election?

Well certainly this doesn't feel like the first elections after Obama won, or Trump won for that matter.

I think we may just be seeing it finally become the case that Democrats in blue states catch up to Republicans in red states as far as being lock-step partisan voters no matter what. That might be bad news for future Charlie Baker, Phil Scott, etc. types down the line. Probably bad news for bipartisanship in general in the country. But good news for Democrats who need to finally stop bringing knives to gunfights.

Recall had no chance sorry Larry Elder, your polarizing comments got the best of you, vote against CR Act, Minimum wage zero, and slave owners should get Reparations

What a waste of money

It is hilarious how Larry Elder has made this No victory a landslide. Who would have known that some talk radio host from LA would have done that 6 months ago.

Around 1.5% better than Biden & around 4.5% better than Newsom 2018.

Around 3.5% better than Biden & around 6.5% better than Newsom 2018.

Very glad to see my region doesn't seem to be completely on board the crazy train, but what an absolute waste of time & money this is.

Hopefully this gives Newsom & Sacramento enough clout to pass more ambitious/progressive legislation.

We learned something here.  Running against Trump is the way to go in the blue states.

Now time for McAuliffe to do the same in VA and tie Youngkin to Trump for an easy win.

Big difference: VA will not be mailing ballots

Or maybe a more logical/less stupid argument would be that VA is substantially less blue than CA.

Consider the source.

Obviously in person votes will bring the result back down to Earth, but still clearly a major blow to the corpse of the CA GOP.

If this were a national election night with hundreds of other races going on, the media would've called this when the polls closed and moved on. They just need to fill in time so people don't tune out, lol.

So far there is a huge undervote on question 2. There are 7.8 million votes for question 1 counted so far, but only 4 million for question 2.

Who are the Trump voters who voted against the recall?

I don't know if there even are many so much as Trump voters who just stayed home this time. If so, that would fit with the theory that Republicans need Trump on the ballot to really boost turnout among low propensity voters.
