Surprised no one mentioned Joey Saladino (Joey Salads) as a potential candidate, especially after his failed congressional run.

Though now that I think about it, that's probably why he won't go far in the primaries; and even if he does win the primaries, he's not winning the general outside (maybe?) Staten Island.

Could definitely see a Yang vs Don Jr matchup.

Any curiosity who wins the Republican primary? I'd say Silwa of the declared though him as the nominee sounds like a total clown show.

I see Rudy Giuliani's son along with Trump Jr and Ivanka Trump (and Trump himself though I highly doubt he runs). Of those I'd say Trump Jr probably gets the nomination but there's no way he wins the general so it may not even be worth a shot for him.

Yang in.

Best of luck for Yang! I'm sure he'll be a great improvement over de Blasio.

Uh

Not sure how I feel about that, although maybe it can work?

Though I know one politician who would probably use the crap out of that, and the name starts with A and ends with OC.

Apologies if someone already posted this, but I just read that Andrew Yang apparently endorsed Nina Turner.

Not surprising, he's kinda progressive leaning in a way.

Not a fan of him endorsing Saira Rao though, we all know how she is........

Tremendous new poll!

Yang 26
Adams 13
Stringer 11
Wiley 10
Donovan 7
McGuire 6
Garcia 4
Morales 3

Yang 61
Stringer 39

Yang 59
Adams 41

Yang 68
Wiley 32

Yang 73
Donovan 27

That's my boy! Smiley

I honestly wonder if he has a shot at winning Staten Island? I know that's pretty bold but if he can pick off a bit of the Trump/GOP base then maybe he has a decent shot at it?

As much as I want him to be the nominee, I've got the strangest hunch that Yang won't be.

He's been leading in every poll, and in most by decent amounts. Why?

Well polls aren't always the most accurate, plus the new controversy surrounding him laughing at a misogynistic joke (their words, not mine). I just wonder if that'll bring him down.

Still rooting for him, but I have my concerns.

I feel mildly confident that Yang will not be the nominee for mayor.

Sucks considering I endorsed him and he had so much potential. I wonder what’s next for him after two primary losses in a row.

It's premature to assume Yang is going to lose or even is no longer frontrunner. I'd rather wait until more polls come in.

True.

May help him with the Jewish vote at the expense of the pro-Palestine leftist voters who probably wouldn't have voted for him anyways because he's "muh closet republican" and has gotten support from Trump voters (including the Naked Cowboy street performer might I add).

Adams makes a similar comment and doesn't get as much backlash as Yang.

Probably a bad comparison though since Yang has more name-recognition (especially nationwide), but really makes you think.

But yea, Yang unfortunately shot himself in the foot with that tweet and will probably not get the nomination partially because of it, even if he makes gains with Jewish voters, but as said previously, at the expense of the progressive voters. Sad but true.

Also has AOC made an endorsement yet? Because if she hasn't then I imagine we can cross Yang off the list of possible candidates she'd endorse.

On the plus side though for Yang supporters, there's still over a month left before the primaries, so maybe there'll be enough time for Yang to make up some of his lost ground. With that said though, time is running out.

The NY Post endorsing Adams, a moderate Black Democrat shows that the NYC GOP is a joke. Curtis Sliwa will probably win SI, and barely, probably....in November.....

The fact that Bronz is the only person who has ever posted or mentioned the Republican candidates for Mayor this year is a pretty good explanation for why the Post endorsed a Dem.

the GOP are not even trying, unlike in 2013 when they at least attempted to run a campaign with Lhota

I’m actually surprised they didn’t endorse Yang, or maybe I’m barely paying any attention to Eric Adams’ campaign and he’s more right wing than I thought?

AOC criticizing Yang today, fwiw. Not sure if she has voiced any opinion on the mayoral race yet.

She'll probably start rallying for Adams or Garcia or whoever's more progressive.

Also this doesn't look so good for Yang  Sad

I will put $10 on AOC not hosting a rally for Eric Adams.

So I guess that narrows it down. Not like Maya Wiley has much of a chance at this point lol

Any idea on who would win which Borough? About the only one I'm sorta confident in is Adams winning Brooklyn.

I guarantee at least one of the questions in the debate will be about his Israel tweets. Wonder how much backlash (if any) he gets from the other candidates.

Crazy how this became a major issue for a mayoral election in an AMERICAN city.

Oh well, imma root for him anyways  Cool

Morales is likely to be the only one to pick a fight over it. Wiley might disagree with his first tweet, but probably not his second. And Stringer has bigger things to worry about.

Stringer's participating? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Good luck to him, because boy is he gonna need it lol

Eric Adams is a vicious anti-Semite (he once accused a Hispanic politician of being a race-traitor for marrying a Jewish woman and used to be a vocal Farrakhan supporter, among other things)

If they somehow decide to attack Adams as well for the pro-Israel stance, maybe one of them can hit him on the head with that.

Hopefully Yang wins.

AOC hating on him makes me want to move to NYC for the purpose of voting for him.

Well, you may not get your wish.

Adams and Yang are now (as of typing) officially TIED on PredictIt.

Why that happened, I'm not sure. But if I had to guess, either Adams is leading big with fundraising or maybe a poll had him up by double digits against Yang or something.
