I've only been passively following this race, but I've seen some references to Yang support among Orthodox Jewish communities. Is there a backstory here that I missed?

This is troubling. Yang winning this race was the best chance of ensuring he never becomes president. Now that he will never be NYC mayor, that door is still open. Very scary thought.

I disagree. Yang will always have a low ceiling as an outsider/"never held public office" within the Democratic party in national elections. That sort of schtick works a lot better with Republicans and independents and a lot better at the local level than the hyper-civically-minded Democratic presidential primary electorate.

I don't think this really tells us much unless we know where exactly those precincts are. Are they on college campuses or the site of a recently-demolished housing project? Or are they in an area that is demographically pretty much the same as 4 years ago?
