Yang would definitely be interesting. While I'm skeptical of UBI, I think his economic expertise could definitely be an asset in this office. I'm not sure how much support he'd get though.

Really interesting how that will turn out with this election mode. I hope Garcia wins.

I did the math, and Garcia needs to win 56.4% of the remaining ballots to defeat Adams in the final round.

How likely is that? I hope she wins because she's better than Adams.

Wow, what a comeback. I guess Wasserman needs much more experience with RCV lol

Also, if Garcia pulls it out, Adams #StopTheSteal incoming. You heard it here first, folks.

In a similar vein to the previous post, I think we are all unprepared for the Trumpian manner Adams may conduct himself during these next few weeks. He has already displayed hints of it during the cross-endorsement, and the inevitable wanting period will only heighten everyone's nerves. Unless something shocking happens, Adams will win the first round votes counted tonight. We will however get an idea based on comparative turnout by neighborhood and RCV projections if he is in danger of losing that position on the final allocation. Adams has already attacked the RCV process and will likely continue to do so if the data is there for a final round loss. He also could try to claim some legitimacy from his first round victory as if it was the final contest, potentially through an incredibly premature victory party and speech tonight.

Blue Trump already exists in New York. See: Cuomo, Andrew M.

Exactly these incompetently run elections undermine trust and confidence and make it seem like Trump's BS of election fraud may be sort of true. New York state and the city are a disgrace when it comes to managing elections properly. Not want to sound lecturing here, but sometimes I think you guys just should get out and let us Europeans run your elections. We don't have the issues.

MSNBC today reported on Monring Joe that the software company that invented the software for the counting multiple times offered assistance to the Board of Elections before the ballots were counted and they were repeatedly rejected. This board is a joke.

Well, Adams was neither my first nor second choice, but he certainly hit a nerve with his message on crime. Seems like after eight years of the more left leaning DeBlasio, New Yorkers want to return to the days of Bloomberg in a sense.

While I wasn't thrilled about Adams in the first place, I have to admit what he said on Morning Joe today actually isn't bad. He talks about being for police reform and support good law enforcement members at the same time. I think this could actually be a winning message for Democrats across the board, although the party by a large majority never supported the "defund the police" nonsense.

Also, Adams promised to name a woman the city's police commissioner, which would be the first in city history.
