Feel bad for working class people of color in NYC.

Adams had their interests and concerns in his heart.

garcia is the candidate of the out of touch who think crime isn't a big deal in the city.

Goes to show that anyone making confident projections, assertions, or even predictions in the midst of a new election/voting method is just asking for egg on their face.

Yes, no one's accused Garcia of being "soft on crime" — more the opposite.

As noted earlier, DFP is has earned a strong reputation of accuracy in Democratic primaries. Denying this is foolish. In general elections, and in those geographies where there are more rural voters, they are less successful - but that does not matter here.

Absolutely ridiculous. Hopefully this is minor.

I know these still aren't complete results due to absentee ballots not having being counted yet, but does anyone know if Garcia has taken the lead in any of the boroughs Adams was leading in during the initial round?

Assuming the numbers we're seeing are at least relatively accurate and there are no more surprises, Garcia wins this by 6k votes.

Ok wait the numbers seem completely f**ked.

Someone noted above that the minor candidates were having extremely high exhaust rates. If that’s caused by these phantom votes than they may actually not be factoring into the final round count, meaning the current final round is accurate. If not...oh boy.

How is one state, and one city in particular, so routinely incapable of running elections

Seems like that would just be typo - the second column seems to match the E-Night + the uncounted In Person votes we previously learned about. The rise in write-ins makes this possible, given that those votes take longer to process. But this is all guesswork.

The votes are way too uniform. EVERY single candidate seems to be gaining 5000-15000 votes, which makes no sense no matter how you slice it.

RCV might be a lot more popular soon if the worst place at counting votes in the world weren’t doing it.

If Adams loses, then his future-of-the-Democratic-Party press conference just automatically becomes the cringiest press conference in NYC history. Yes, it'll be even cringier than de Blasio's eating-on-camera shtick could ever dream of being.

Lmaooo Yang's about to be appointed "Deputy Mayor of Whatever-the-F**k-He-Wants."

Theoretically, no, but practically, yes.

Wrongly wrote off this race the day after so now I am very pleasantly surprised

What’s the consensus?

Yang underperformed my expectations while Wiley overperformed them. Guess the mayoral race was a wash overall, although it’ll be exciting to see RCV make a difference given how close the race looks.

When will the cowards at the BOE release precinct results for the rounds?
