Ford likely would have been easily reelected if he hadn't pardoned Nixon.

Of course, if Ford hadn't pardoned Nixon, it's much less likely the little known Jimmy Carter would have won the Democratic nomination in the first place, and Ford would have faced a different Democrat.

I likely would have spoiled my ballot.
