Is this a "Biden loses" 2024 primary?

I don't see AOC winning a single state in a 2024 primary regardless.

This belongs in the "Presidential Election Trends" board, as it pertains to a future election.

In any event, though, congratulations, future President [Insert 2024 GOP Nominee here].

(Oh, & AOC would never win FL.)

No primary season would ever work like this, there would be no more than two candidates getting most of the states and maybe one or two "favorite sons (or daughters)" winning a couple of states à la Kasich or Gingrich.

In 2024 it will likely be Harris running without any serious opposition, unless Biden's administration is widely unpopular, in which case you might get some 2020 rehashes like Klobuchar/Widdle Pete or someone like Sherrod Brown.

That'd be one heck of a brokered convention.

Well, if Biden wins, any decides not to run in 2024, any Democrat would be foolish to challenge his designated successor and incumbent VP, Kamala Harris.  She will be the prohibitive favorite and likely receive a Gore-style coronation with only token opposition.  There will be lots of speculation about her potential challenger(s) but at the end of the day it will just be media hype.

If Biden loses, the contours of the primary will depend on the manner of his loss and the state of the country in 2023-4.  I would anticipate a "now it's our turn" effect from the radicals who want to flip the table, probably emboldened by massive gains in 2022.  If Biden loses in a way that invalidates his strategy, there will be almost no appetite for another "let's heal our wounds" type candidate.  If he loses Clinton-style, where it's obvious he should rightfully have won but had it stolen due to Trump chicanery, foreign interference, voter disenfranchisement, or something in that vein, there might still be some appetite for a "let's do it right this time" candidate, but not as much as there was this year.

This is a joke map btw. Just wanted to see people’s reactions and explanations for the result. Obviously this would never happen IRL

Phil Murphy is lame and Roy Cooper too.

I wonder if you coloured those states at random or you tried to follow some sort of convolute logic.

That would be one amazing primary season and an even crazier convention.

The only scenario where anything like this happens is one where the states assign their delegates at random.

Helluva vote-splitting & candidate dropoff if AOC is the only candidate to win their home state (Perhaps the least likely candidate of this group to win their home state, funny enough)
