Did you know there used to be a Monongalia County in Minnesota, which is named for the one in West Virginia? 🤓

Trump won all five Kent Counties in 2016. But last year, four of them (DE, MI, MD and RI) flipped to Biden, while the fifth (TX) was almost 90% Trump.

Every single Butler county has gone Republican in every election in the 21st century.

And Kent, DE (one of my favorite places nationwide) is a very quiet bellwether, having only voted for the losing candidate in two elections since the 1920s.

Interesting.

Anyway, I'm sure there are a lot of these for Trump and a few for Biden (I mean, I doubt there are many counties in CA that share there name with few if any other counties that went blue, like, say, San Diego, or Alameda, or Santa Clara). Off the top of my head, both the Scotland Counties (MO and NC) were for Trump (the one in NC is actually a Clinton 2016 county), and all three Summit Counties (UT, OH and CO) were for Biden.

Fayette, KY was Biden +20 and was one of only two counties he won in the state.
