Assume that Elizabeth Dole doesn't drop out of the GOP primaries due to a lack of fundraising in October 1999 and goes on to win the Republican nomination (as she was polling second behind Bush at the time).  How does this matchup play out?

Elizabeth Dole probably was one of the stronger possible Republican nominees in 2000, but I'm not sure she'd win a Republican primary (certainly not against Dubya).

Gore flips New Hampshire, and wins the White House.

Al Gore/Joe Lieberman 49.878% 271 EV
Elizabeth Dole/John McCain 49.872% 267 EV

McCain may have a connection of sorts with New Hampshire, but Dole is in my opinion slightly weaker a candidate in New England.
