Third, as I previously noted, the more a rational, reasonable, ethical person knows about McCain, the more they come to dislike him.

The 'ethics' to which you refer are neither rational nor reasonable.

Recently John McCain (property of the liberal media) lectured labor leaders, among other things telling them that native born Americans would not be willing to pick lettuce in Arizona for $50 per hour and that only illegal aliens would do that, which is why he supports amnesty for illegal aliens and is opposed to efforts to stop illegal immigration.

Now, aside from being a lackey for the liberal media, John McCain is a serial liar.

First, there is very little lettuce grown in Arizona.

Second, many people have contacted McCain about those $50 an hour jobs (which, don't exist) and he has refused to admit that this was just another of his lies.

The matter of immigration is a very complex one, and requires a balanced, multifacted approach, not the arrogant lies of a sick little weasel.

I hope the liberals here will recognize what a vile creature McVain is and will stop defending the slimebag.

Of course I don't defend morons who think that there's a shortage of Americans willing to work an unskilled job for $50 an hour during a Bush economy.

I again want to acknowledge that the right and the left are largely agreed in opposing the Bush/McCain/Kennedy amnesty bill.

Remember, McCain made his insulting and inaccurate statement to labor union members who opposed the measure.

It is interesting that leftish economists who have correctly noted that the importion of cheap foreign labor causes increased unemployment among disadvantaged Americans.

Hmm... I dunno.. maybe its because he's one of the best Senators ever and put his life on the line for his country.  Maybe its because he's a hero.  Just a thought.

What do you think of Duke Cunningham?

Duke is a hero.  He's a hero who committed a crime and will have to pay the penalty, but that doesn't change the respect I have for him for what he did to serve his country.

Does that change your view on his fundamental honesty?  Do you not think that someone can serve their country in war, yet be a fundamentally bad person?

You are a crazy partisan. For instance, I think that William Jefferson is a horrible person.

Would you vote for a sane, moderate Republican against him?  I'm just curious; no implications intended.

I don't believe that anyone, even a Democrat, is a fundamentally bad person.

There are sane, moderate Republicans? Are these my only 2 options? Hard to say. I'd vote Bloomberg over Jefferson.

I think that's what he was getting at; people like Bloomberg, Chafee, etc.

I don't know about Chafee. He just looks good because the other 54 Senate Republicans are batsh**t crazy.

True, he'd still be one of the more conservative Democrats in the Senate if he switched. But he voted against Alito and didn't vote for Bush. I believe he opposed the war as well as Bush's tax cuts, too.

Knowing JFern that's a slim chance.

Anywho, McCain is correct. Most Americans are to "good" to do that kind of work.
