Which does make me think this poll might be a bit favorable to Markey all else being equal, since everyone seems to be pretty sure he wasn't leading the race back then. But does go to show who has had the momentum in this race.

People forget that Caroline Kennedy tried to run for NY Senate when Hillary retired and that's why Gillibrand is in the seat. St Shriver failed as Veep to George McGovern when they ran against Nixon in 1972. Kathleen Kennedy Townsend lost to Ehlrich. Also, Chris Kennedy lost to Pritzker in the primary.

The only successful Kennedys were Teddy who lost to Carter in 1980 primary and Schwarzenegger and Cuomo, whom has Kerry Kennedy children. Cuomo is divorced to Kerry Kennedy

Good. I don't have a strong preference between them - Kennedy is a tiny bit closer to me politically, but Markey isn't bad as progressives go - but I do greatly dislike the attempt to turn experience and age into a liability.
