2020 - Silent Gen Democrat (Biden)
2024 - Boomer/Gen X Democrat (Harris and Rice were both born in 1964, which is defined as either generation depending on who you ask)
2028 - Boomer/Gen X Democrat reelected
2032 - Gen X Republican
2036 - Gen X Republican reelected
2040 - Millennial Democrat
2044 - Millennial Democrat reelected

Lemme just say that it always feels weird that Barack Obama is a boomer.

Harris would be a Boomer, so it would have to be someone after her. Not entirely sure for Gen X. I'd say Dan Crenshaw but he's a Millennial.

Nikki Haley is Gen X, probably best chance to get a Gen X in the next eight years

I don't think gen x will get a president unless you count Harris as gen x, after Harris its likely to go straight to a millennial

The next successful candidate who is not a member of the Biden or Trump ticket will almost certainly be a Gen Xer, from either party.

Ted Cruz, Don Jr, plenty of others are also Gen X too.

Generation cut-offs are rather arbitrary. Biden is a late silent, Trump an early boomer, and Obama a late boomer. Generations themselves are just rough groupings, but obviously Trump and Biden are much closer in age to each other than to Obama despite not falling between the same arbitrary generation lines.

Also, note that some measures of Gen X start at 1960 which would make Obama an Xer, not a boomer. In which case we already have the answer to this question. There’s also the sub-generation “Generation Jones” which straddles the line between Boomer and X. Obama falls there.

Penesito the Pirate isn't going anywhere outside of his heavily gerrymandered Texas district. Hopefully he loses this year.

I don't like him either, but to make fun of him for his eye rather than attacking his ideas is ableist.

Nah, he's embraced it. He posts disturbing photos of USA marbles in his eye socket on social media. And, more importantly, has voted for policies that hurt many other people of varying degrees of ability and disability, so he earns it.

It’s entirely possible Gen X won’t ever have a president.

A lot of the rising newcomers are millennials, while the boomers just won’t let go of the reigns.
Although maybe we will have one in the next couple of decades. It could honestly go either way.

Millennial is easy. Pete seems like the ideal candidate. Obama and likely future VP Harris are both more like Gen Xers than Boomers. I’m personally technically a millennial, but am closer to being a Gen Zer.
