Only including governors I lived under after becoming politically aware:

1. Jay Nixon (D-MO, lackluster but also the only Democrat)

2. John Kasich (R-OH, a Republican with a spine, pretty hard to find nowadays)
3. Gary Herbert (R-UT, pretty inoffensive I guess)

4. Mike Parson (R-MO, was pretty inoffensive until this summer)

5. Eric Greitens (R-MO, do I really need an explanation?)

Did you live on the state line or something?  Like that tourist trap South of the Border?

Minister-Presidents of Saarland:

1. Peter Müller (CDU/1999-2011): he thankfully was brave enough to implement the coal phase-out in spite of knowing that this would cost him tons of votes and was actually scandal-free, plus he ended the Governorship of Oskar Lafontaine's protegee
2. Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer (CDU/2011-2018): apart from some scandals and statements (same-sex marriage being equivalent to incest/polygamy) relatively decent performance as Governor, nice in person
3. Tobias Hans (CDU/since 2018): doesn't seem authentic, tries to pander to everyone (especially Markus Söder), his Covid-19 curfew executive order was actually overridden by the Highest Court

1. Bill Ritter
Huge FF, I wish more Democrats held his policy views.
2. Mark Warner
Good governor, decent senator. Also seems like a chill guy. FF
3. John Hickenlooper
A bit too libertarian for my tastes, but a smart guy and he has good policy overall. He goes up if he completely destroys the current snake in Senate.

4. Mike Easley
Yes he is technically a felon, but it wasn’t that bad of a crime. Also not bad policy.

5. Jared Polis
This absolute train wreck is the worst (Democratic) Governor I have had. Calling him a Democrat is being nice, he is a libertarian who is too scared to admit it. A pro-weed moneysucker who honestly doesn’t deserve to go within 200 feet of the State capitol. If the GOP is not so Trumpist in 2022 (unlikely) and I still live in Colorado (also unlikely) I will be sure to vote him out.

(Funny enough, while 60% of the Senators I have lived under have been Republicans, I have somehow managed to just barely avoid any GOP governor despite living in pre-2008 VA and NC)
