It has to be. Mackler is deluding himself if he thinks that he has a chance. We all know what happened to Phil Bredesen in 2018. He'll be lucky to come as close as Karl Dean did against Bill Lee that same year (60-39%).

It's an open seat, just like in KS, the outparty has a chance. Bredesen contradicted Ds on Kavanaugh and says that he will vote for Kavanaugh,  that's why he lost

Or maybe Don Jr. is simply completely ignorant as to how political geography works.

LOL. If Bredesen, who won a massive sweep in 2006 and maintained strong approvals as gov, couldn't get within single digits of a far-right opponent, TN-Sen is pretty much gone. It's not the 2000s anymore.

AL, AK and KY are far more likely to flip than TN

Not when you have McGrath down by 22 pts. Sullivan is up by 13 and Jones down by 10

Did anyone actually watch the video?

Don Jr. says "the Senate is going to be a very tough race" and "[Tennessee] is a seat we've got to win".  Both of these things are true even if TN-SEN is Titanium R.  Hagerty is in a very competitive primary (with no runoff rules), which is why he's getting the help from Don Jr. in the first place.

This is just a low-tier DSCC recruit trying to have his Jaime Harrison fundraising moment.

Mackler is a Vet like Kander in Persian Gulf War II and so did Buttigieg,  that's why he has cross over appeal.

If Don Jr is saying Mackler has a chance, he does.

Mackler looks like a strong candidate but he is in the wrong state.

I mean, what's he gonna say? "lol he's wrong this race is definitely not competitive"? Let's be real, no candidate willingly paints themselves as sure losers.

In a blue tsunami which has potential, 58/42 Senate, TX, SC, TN, KS and MT flips, and its boiling since Biden is winning 46 to 42 in OH and TX is becoming competitive,  again

Prettymuch. We actually had him polling respectably against Corker and Blackburn before Bredesen came along.

You're correct, but it still seemed like a ridiculous comment for him to make.

Phil Bredesen losing to Marsha Blackburn was the most maddening result I’ve seen in a long time (aside from 16 POTUS obviously). If that state would make a horrific choice like that. No way in hell is this race anything other then Safe R

Don't get me wrong; I like Mackler, but there's no way this seat is competitive. Perhaps Trump Jr. meant in terms of the primary and got his elections mixed up?

Coincidentally, just when Ds were ready to expand the Senate playing field, a poll comes out showing Bullock trailing Daines and Cooney losing by 6 to 9 points.

Its may be a blue wave but not a tsunami

3 to 6 seats

AZ, CO, GA, IA, KS, ME and NC will give the Ds the needed majority and KS and GA are fallback options
