that people said would happen and why he'd doom Biden. Multiple posts predicting that. And yet....his South Carolina rally was only covered by a few celebrity gossip rags and basically the only campaign coverage we've gotten at all since then are anecdotal reports of signature collectors on Twitter.

When is the deluge of media attention coming?

Is he running or not?  He's changed his mind like four times.

My main worry wasn't the media coverage.  I was worried that there would be a concerted meme campaign online to get 18-29 year old voters to say "lol Trump sucks and Biden sucks, vote for Kanye as a joke"

Completely agree.
But we should not pretend that we do not have a clown as president right now.

What was seen as a potentially serious run turned out to be a mental crisis, unfortunately. I am glad Kanye seems to be getting the help he needs though.

I think any small chance of it was killed by the embarrassment of a "rally" where he alienated practically everyone.

Maybe just me, but I always found the idea that a strong Kanye West showing would hurt Biden more ridiculous than the prediction that he’d receive "tons of media coverage."

Honestly, I've been surprised at how irrelevant a Kanye West candidacy has been. I think this might be one circumstance where the media learned its lesson from 2016.

As ridiculous as the "Black Young people will absolutely be stupid enough to vote for the rapper in droves" take without any knowledge of Kanye's career & reputation in the past decade
