Lol. This is probably a good thing honestly; kids in my school are way too obsessed with TikTok and it's replacing the culture of a community within a school which is sad. TikTok is also pretty much a bunch of junk for the most part from what I've seen, outside a few specific communities.

Think it's more up to the parents, and not the federal government to decide. I just wish that everyone wasn't so damn addicted to their phones!

Well it might have inflated the # of people that signed up that the President expected a huge crowd outside and had festivities for them. That never happened and they had to scale that back.

I'm not losing any sleep over Tik-Tok being banned, given the security concerns (and content), but I feel like this oversteps the president's authority. What gives him the power to ban a phone app?

Yeah, I can’t see this flying, sorry. Even if Trump signs an executive order “banning” it somehow (not sure he has the authority in the first place), it’s getting immediately challenged in court and an injunction is going to come the same day.
