It will remain the world reserve only for the fact that no other currency is ready to replace it. Changing from the USD to some other currency is something that no one is willing to make the first move on, and currencies like the Yuan are just not politically trustworthy.

For all its faults, the USD really does have an "incumbency" advantage here.

For all its faults, the USD really does have an "incumbency" advantage here.

That's about it and it will last until they can't cook the CBI any more. They keep fudging the numbers on inflation to facilitate the ability to print more money.

Or maybe we don't need taxes anymore and can just fund the Government with money it makes. 🤡

If Trump is reelected, the U.S $ will be dropped as the 'Petrodollar' which would lead, according to one analyst, to an immediate 1/3 decline in the value of the U.S $ relative to other leading currencies.
