If this counts, then I also got my mom to vote for Hillary in 2008 even though she was an Obama supporter

In all seriousness, I see no reason why that sort of thing shouldn't count; it's not like I totally reevaluated my whole worldview the day I turned 18 (though I was certainly a very different person when I first began voting at, uh, age 10).
