He wins 290-248, performing better than Clinton with rural voters, especially out west. Gary Johnson also does weaker because of Schweitzer's libertarian appeal. Probably picks a female VP--I could see Jeanne Shaheen for instance.

Schweitzer does better out west, picking up his home state of Montana and Arizona, and his pick of Debbie Stabenow holds Michgan, but it isn't enough to beat Trump.

I am of the impression that he would perform better than Clinton only with a certain kind of rural (White) voters, specifically basically those in places that Obama won in the 2008 primaries.
