How did Orange County FL move left so quickly? It was a traditional GOP state. Dole won it by just 0.2% in 96, Gore won it by 2% (one of only two Dole-Gore counties), and Kerry won it by 0.2%. Then Obama 08 won it by 19% and it has trended left in each subsequent election. So we see a huge shift from 04 to 08. Was it due to an influx of Latinos? Or something else going on?

More party registration... over the past decade, there's been some 130K+ registrations for Democrats.

I'd say it has to be the growth of the theme park industry. This county contains Disney World and Universal.

So massive influx of Puerto Ricans between 04 and 08? Stunning. The demographic decline of America has been awful for the GOP.
