It seems that it is a big city issue.

Most suburbs like their police.

Portland, Seattle, all the cities with the crazy leftwing anarchists looks like lost cities.

Who would want to be a city police officer?

A city firefighter as well, since most of the firefighter force is Caucasian and they can't relate to the city residents.

Should big cities lose police/fire services? I don't see a reason why they should continue in these big cities like Portland and Seattle.

Portland and Seattle are failed cities and no, you can't blame Clackamas County Republicans and Pierce County Republicans, they want NOTHING to do with P/S.

It's not a federal issue, it's a local city issue and Trump bringing in troops won't change anything.

I knew who started this thread when I read "police" immediately after "big cities", before I even opened it.

I don't want to genocide your city, I want to see your mayors take control of your cities. Feds aren't needed, and the protests in Seattle and Portland 2 months later show things aren't getting better

But let's answer seriously:

1. What?

2. True.

3. bronz using right-wing rhetoric and pretending it's common sense, example no. 1984563

4. Many people, it seems.

5. What the f**k this is worse than point 3. Also Portland is more than 70% White lol.

6. Maybe to try protect them from crimes and fires?

7. bronz using right-wing rhetoric and pretending it's common sense, example no. 1984563 +1

8. bronz writing something that can be spun as lowkey anti-Trump to make other people feel better, wow.

That's nice to hear.

I want to see your mayors take control of your cities.
They have. People like you just hate to see public dissent.

No, they aren't.

the protests in Seattle and Portland 2 months later show things aren't getting better
True. They still haven't arrested the cops who killed Breonna Taylor. That's why ceaseless peaceful protest everywhere is warranted.

no you didn't, today you made sh**t up about Bronz to make a lame joke.  There is no way a person can read what he wrote and come to the conclusion the OP wants to "genocide a city".

There is no way the county could keep up with police and fire services for a major city. The reason suburbs start their own services is because there are jurisdictional/budget issues because most suburbs are their own town/city.

everywhere should lose police/fire services and it should all be privatized

No.

Carbon monoxide smoke detectors already got rid of fire departments. Police and Firefighters are dual jobs, Firefighters are Paramedics and Police officers do undercover security in Banks and Retail stores. There arent gonna be fired
