Not the sort of topline numbers I'd want in a Republican internal (outside of a really reliable one like Cygnal) to rate the race as safe R this far out. That fits in with a pattern of polls suggesting Jones is doing much better than the fundamentals would suggest here; I'd reckoned a federal win in AL was pretty much impossible for Democrats outside of Roy Moore-style scenarios or a reversal of polarisation, but this race looks much closer than it should be if those assumptions are to hold.

I think that's true if Tuberville wins the runoff. Bama is Yelluh Dawg territory. Not a politician, a football coach AND a Republican? Perfect storm man. If Sessions somehow survives I actually think there's a microscopic chance for Jones because Tuberville's camp is short on $$ right now. Trump has no ability to control himself and will trash Sessions every chance he gets and hurt the race.


Heidi didn't have any benefit of Trump slamming her opponent all the time

There arent any Congressional districts at risk in AL so R will win this race. AZ, CO, GA, IA, ME, MT and NC have statewide races Ds can win

I will not stop dreaming until November 3rd and/but/also there are some people on this forum who have the insane tendency of believing that crazy stuff like McConnell losing his seat or even Biden winning Kansas can happen, and at the same time thinking Jones is doomed anyway.
