Winning the election decisively is necessary but hardly enough.  De-Trumpification will be the more important assignment:

What will it take to defeat Trumpism?
Learning lessons from the end of the Confederacy, Nazi Germany, and Saddam’s Iraq

Quote
Because Trumpism is a cancer on the body politic, the treatment will require radical interventions, including the transformation of the Republican Party, a purge of Trumpists from government, and the indictment of the president and his top cronies as a criminal enterprise. To avoid a second Civil War, however, a second American Revolution would need to address the root causes of Trumpism, especially political corruption, deep-seated racism, and extreme economic inequality.

Most definitely. Biden having such a gargantuan task ahead of him in rebuilding the country if he ends up President is one reason why I don't understand why anyone would even want to be President.

That's why the Lincoln Project is also going after GOP senators.

Biden needs to "secretly push" the State of New York to put that SOB in prison.
Make all the details public of what kind of crook trump is. That will demoralize the cult, with even more jumping-ship and over time, forgetting about trump/trumpism (like what happened to the Tea Party).

An important part of de-Trumpification will be GOP officials piling on him after he leaves office. Except for Romney, they're all far too weak to do it while in office. But mark my words, in the years after he leaves office there will be many GOP officials who come forward and denounce Trump's Presidency.

I'm more concerned at this point with the amount of administrative rot and institutional knowledge now vanished from across the entire executive branch. It's going to take years to build back what we've lost.

He didn't win decisively though, at least where it counts. The outcome being decided by just 0.6% is a vulnerable position. Hopefully the Georgia runoffs go Dem and he gets a chance to govern well.

Trump needs to go to jail after the phone call, if he is allowed to stay out of prison, he and the Rs will skirt the law, just like 2016/ Rs broke into the DNC and didn't learned from Watergate, due to Nixon being pardoned

I’m hoping this is the reason that Biden is delaying announcing his pick for AG.  He intends to pick someone who will establish a new division devoted to prosecuting treason and sedition, but he doesn’t want to show his hand to give Trump the chance to issue a bunch of blanket preemptive pardons.

Is it a certain person who left congress last weekend?
