Bernie->didn't care 2016/Bernie->Biden 2020

2016 was uh. I don't quite remember even. I couldn't vote so it's not like I impacted the election at all but if I had voted probably would've been for Johnson. I didn't really like Clinton at all even though deep down I kinda wanted her to win even if I couldn't admit it to myself. Trump on the other hand...I wasn't too sad when he won and went to sleep satisfied after watching his victory speech. So at the time it was a no-consequences election. Yeah looking back it was dumb.

2016: I was on team Clinton from the day she announced. I remember getting the news story about her announcement at a camp over the Easter break, and being kinda excited, even then (I was even more of a centrist as a teenager - sue me).

2020: I dithered between Buttigieg and Warren in the primary, especially after Harris faded, but once Biden gained steam I got on board, especially during the Biden-Bernie faceoff post Super Tuesday.

Quite a few Clinton-Trump voters here surprisingly. I'm going to be a Trump-Trump voter myself simply because I see nothing in Biden whatsoever.

2016: Sanders -> Clinton
2020: Biden -> Biden

I am one of the rare millennials who switched from Bernie to Biden.

By any chance are you a white male with a high school diploma or less that makes less than 75k a year?

2016: I supported Bernie in the primary. In the general I would have told you I didn't care there was no difference, but I secretly wanted Clinton to win and probably would have voted for her if I was American.

2020: Bernie or Warren in the primary, Biden in the general. Another Trump term would be a disaster for the world

Your're probably the first person I've ever seen anywhere who says that they prefer Hillary Clinton to Joe Biden.

But at any rate, I voted for McMullin in 2016, and I remember rooting for Sanders to win the primary over Clinton. This year, I oscillated during the primary, and at one point, leaned towards Klobuchar. In the general of course, I now support Biden.

Just making sure I read it correctly there’s many people in your area who voted for Clinton and now back Trump? Where in Ohio do you live?

2016: Sanders (only very early on) → Clinton (couldn't vote in '16 though because I was 17).

2020: Kamala → Biden (will be my first presidential vote)

I have basically voted Democratic for all my voting-eligible life, but came about after the Clintons and always hated them because, for better or for worse, I do think they're fundamentally dishonest people. I liked that Obama did not share those tendencies.

So, my votes in 2016 and 2020 were the following:

- 2016: Primary (in AZ): Sanders / General (in AZ): Third party with a mix of Dem votes and third party votes down ballot

- 2020: Primary (in CA): Warren / General (in AZ): Biden and all D's down the line

In retrospect, I should have just sucked it up and voted for Clinton in 2016, but I am 100% sure her administration would have been terrible and scandal-ridden (and not just the astro-turf stuff that the GOP tries to concoct). I also think that the GOP brainwashing probably would have accelerated and we'd have even more folks living in an alternate reality under a President Clinton, and since her tendency is to skirt from the truth or fib, I think she would have had a terrible time combating them and only fed them and their conspiracies more. The Clintons have always been their own worst enemy.

2016: O'Malley->Sanders->Clinton (general)

2020: Biden->Warren (for the week she led Biden in polling)->Biden (general+ primary vote)

Always tried to choose who I believed to be the most electable against republicans.
