CAMPAIGN RALLY
Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park, Key Biscayne
Miami, Florida

KeyBiscayneMiamiFlorida
Excel23 / CC BY-SA (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0)

Before the Miami mayoral election, the Democratic Alliance held a bilingual rally the evening of August 28th at the 400 acre Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park. Masks were mandatory and ones with the Democratic Alliance logo printed on them were provided to all attending. Despite the large number of attendees, six foot social distancing was maintained between all persons.

Quote
Thank you all for showing up here today.

Wherever you are from in our great city—Little Havana, Wynwood, Brickell, Hialeah—your presence here is an inspiration to me and a testament to the diversity of our city and the strength of our movement. Over five thousand people are here today to discuss the future of our great city, brought together by a shared hope for what we can be and a shared disappointment at the failures of the old two political parties.

Gathered here today, with the Atlantic Ocean behind us and Biscayne Bay to our right, we are reminded that the very natural environment which makes our city so special can destroy us if we do not treat it with care. That is why the Democratic Alliance has a comprehensive plan to stop the threat of climate change and build a Miami better equipped than ever before to withstand rising seas and intensifying hurricanes. And in doing this, we will build a better Miami—with stronger transportation networks, more housing, and better schools.

In these plans are the essence of the Democratic Alliance: Unity and Action. This is not an empty slogan—it is the only ethos that will work as we tackle the biggest problems of the 2020s together. When it comes to climate change, education, or infrastructure, we rise and fall together. Our city will either meet the challenge of climate change or together we will be subsumed by a rising sea.

Our city will either develop the human capital we need to compete against an ever-growing number of global metropolises or together, our businesses will fail and our workers will earn less.

Our city will either build the new infrastructure we need or we will all get stuck in the same traffic.

In this, there can be no factions. This is not a zero-sum game. The Labor party and the Federalists want you to believe that their radical economic agendas and extreme partisanship alone can fix the problems of Miami.

You know better. We know better.

Our city will overcome the obstacles before us and emerge better than ever before, but only if we come together and embrace a bold, inclusive vision that brings us together. And to do this will require putting a party with real plans become safer, stronger, and more prosperous in power. There is only one party that will do that, Miami.

It is time that we reject the old politics of division and inaction and vote Democratic Alliance for mayor. Together, we will rise!

May Dave continue to bless you and bless our great city! And now, it is my pleasure to introduce the next mayor of Miami...

Quote

CAMPAIGN SPEECH
Lincoln Park - Kenosha, WI

Tamika Jackson marched with protesters that ended with speeches and music at Lincoln Park. Everyone socially distanced as much as possible and wore masks.

Quote from: Tamika Jackson
JACOB BLAKE! Say his name!

crowd chants Jacob Blake!

No justice!

crowd chants no peace!

Today, another black man has suffered at the hands of police brutality. Shot from behind, there was no reason for the police to shoot him--he wasn't an imminent threat to them, which is what is needed to exercise deadly force. Only by the grace of Dave has he lived when so many before him have died at the hands of the police in questionable, racially biased police encounters.

Why do I have to explain to my son how to act around police? Where to keep his hands if he's pulled over?

I appreciate you taking action by peacefully protesting because we must have an understanding in our nation that black lives matter. The continuation of two justice systems, one for the privileged and the other for the unprivileged must stop.

I also want to be clear that this is not just a racial component even though people of color are treated worse by police and are profiled.

There are countless poor, white Atlasians, who have also suffered when they're just trying to pursue their Atlasian dream as all of us are.

Tomorrow is election day. Your local elections matter because that's where the state statutes get made, where police grants come from, and who prosecutes any crimes committed by the police. Your state governor, city council, district attorney, and legislature are the check on police brutality.

Now, my future colleague from Labor was here earlier today, yet he didn't march with you. He paid you lip-service as politicians normally do after a crisis. He didn't even mention the very black man who was shot. Say his name!

Crowd chants Jacob Blake!

Yet he isn't the only name. That list is too long for no other reason than injustice.

Only one party is about action and that's Democratic Alliance. That's why our motto is unity and action. Don't vote for another politicians who will just pay lip-service when a black man unjustly shot by the police is once again in the news cycle.

If you want to start putting a stop to the racial injustice, then vote Democratic Alliance tomorrow. Because if there's no justice!

Crowd chants no peace!

Our candidates are people from your community. Your teachers, doctors, cashiers even. We chose these people for their perspective on their communities to make meaningful change.

I am proud to introduce one of the members of this community and your next state legislator...

ALASKA

Oh yeah, you can totally surf in Alaska. The bore tide at Turnagain's Arm is so scenic and beautiful. Then you can just head up to Alyeska Resort about 20 mins away and hit the ski slopes. It's one of the most surreal things on Earth.

Quote from: Labor Ad
NARRATOR: California -- The Golden State. The only place in Atlasia you can go surfing and skiing...

Quote from: Narrator
Labor: Out of touch with Alaska. Tomorrow, vote for a party that knows our state and its economy. Vote for a party that will protect Alaska's tourism industry. Vote Democratic Alliance.

Former President Tmthforu94 Campaign Schedule
August 27th - 28th, 2020

August 27th - Oklahoma
- National Appearance on FOX News regarding the state of NPC elections
- GOTV Meet and Greet with supporters in Norman, OK
- Socially Distanced Rally with Oklahoma DA gubernatorial candidate in Oklahoma City, OK
"We've heard a lot of noise in the past week, lots of late appeals to get your votes. DA was the first on the ground here talking with voters and understanding what your concerns are and how we can address them. We have a diverse group of candidates running, folks coming from different backgrounds and holding different views. This week, the head of Labor remarked that the DA was led by "coastal elites" - I found that comment laughable...I'm right up in Kansas, did any of you see a coast on your way here today?? It is ironic to be labeled a coastal elite from someone who actually comes from a coast! I think people can be good no matter where they good from, I know here in Oklahoma the importance of hospitality and treating others as you would want to be treated - the golden rule. That is how we want to form a government here next year - where all sites can come together and we can act on the most important issues facing this great state. Remember to vote DA in your local elections this weekend!!"

August 28th - Miami
- Appearance on Good Morning, Miami
- GOTV Meet and Greet with supporters in Miami, FL
- Socially Distanced Rally in Miami, FL
"Thank you all for having me today, I'm excited to be here with the next Mayor of Miami! I'll keep it short and let them speak soon - we've been on the ground for a long time here talking to voters, hearing your concerns, and ready to take them to city hall and enact positive change for Miami. Polls show the race neck and neck, but momentum is on our side! We've seen a lot of flurry in the last few days as some campaigns make a last appeal for your vote...for some parties, this has been their first time here! I ask you all - look through all the noise and the partisan rhetoric, which candidate has listened to you from the beginning, and which candidate do you trust to lead a new generation of leadership in Miami? It's time for a positive change here, and that starts this weekend! Vote DA!"

Running digitally in all states with local elections + Miami through election weekend

From Labor's Platform: "17. A national energy policy should place the needs of the many in a changing planet ahead of mere profit. The government should act to establish collective ownership of energy by the creation of an Atlasian Energy Authority founded on the principles of democratic governance and local control."

Labor: Out of touch with Alaska and a threat to our economy.
Vote Democratic Alliance to protect Alaska's Environment and Economy. We can do both because we've been doing it for decades.

Quote
Hello New York! Its that time again for us to start a new round of local campaigning, including here in the city and state of New York. Last month we saw some very encouraging results. I must say that I was greatly impressed by the number of seats we won across Atlasia. We have created a movement of citizens who made it clear that we will not stand for continued neglect of our local issues, that we will not stand for machine politics, that we will elect new leaders who care about you, and we aren't stopping anytime soon! Whether it be rooting out corruption and inefficiency in the MTA here in New York City, bringing infrastructure up to par in medium cities like Albany, or ensuring that there's emergency services in the close vicinity of all of our small towns, Democratic Alliance will continue the fight for competent leadership on the state and local levels. We will never stop working tirelessly for you.

The people in charge now will tell you that everything is fine and that they're doing their job the best they can, but I must wonder how that can be. How can that be when people are commuting 2 or 3 hours a day here in New York because they're stuck up in traffic or because the subway is seemingly under constant construction with no progress being made? How can that be when there are still people begging on the streets in midtown, lost in life and constantly pushed out and punished by the state instead of being helped? How can that be when our children are collapsing under the weight of modern pressures, many draining their souls to get into an increasingly brutal college market only to plunge themselves into debt and still not get a decent job, fueling this cycle of poverty? If this is what they call fine, then I shudder to think of what bad must be!

Its clear that this can not continue, and we don't have to let it continue! We have been blessed with voting, a powerful tool of accountability. We can remove those people who aren't helping you. We can band together, as the forgotten, as the downtrodden, as the activists, and most importantly as Atlasians, and when we do their jobs won't be so cushy anymore. We can vote for new leadership with Democratic Alliance that cares about you and that has a plan to turn things around. We won't let anybody be lost and forgotten anymore. We will establish community offices across New York and Atlasia where anybody can walk in and easily find job openings, educational opportunities, public housing availability, and applications for welfare. We will work with our businesses to connect potential employees to good jobs, we will establish new schools for adults tailored for giving those who are struggling the credentials needed to get a good job, we will build public housing to get people off the streets and into a safe environment, and we will protect welfare from needless cuts. We will teach our students how to get a job, how to apply for colleges, and how to get financial aid instead of leaving them to figure these things out on their own. We will diversify our education and help students find their skills and interests instead of telling them what fields are "good" or "bad". We won't tell anyone lies about how they're doomed to fail because of their fields of interest. We will build green infrastructure, to protect the environment, to create jobs, and to invest in communities around New York. No longer are these things that they won't do, these are things that we WILL do! This month, let's vote for the party with a plan to put every citizen first. Let's vote Democratic Alliance!

MEET THE CANDIDATES
Whit's Frozen Custard, Hendersonville NC

Today I made a surprise visit to the town of Hendersonville, just south of Asheville. There I and local DA candidates met with constituents over some great frozen custard. I hinted at a possible NC tour similar to the one I did last month in SC.

I’m in NYC paying respects at the 9/11 memorial. My mom was living in the city on that day, and if she hadn’t gone into work early that day she would have seen the first impact while crossing over from Brooklyn.

When she recounts that day, after the second plane hit, she always remembers looking out at the Empire State Building, which her area of the office faced, and wondering if it was next.

Luckily, it was not. But even nearly 20 years later we remember that day.

In a twist of fate, my mom met my dad due to 9/11. I don’t think she would have considered moving to SC otherwise.

But there is one thing that we do need to remember. Those brave first responders who risked it all to save lives need to have their benefits protected. Everyone can come together and agree on that. Our nation may seem chaotic and divided right now, but we will unite when it is necessary, we will endure, and we will overcome.

CAMPAIGN LAUNCH
Wolf Creek, NC
Due to the small size of the town, a rally was held with attendance of approximately 50. Social distancing was enforced. The rally was held at an abandoned gas station along US-64.

Good afternoon Wolf Creek! I'm glad to be here in the westernmost edge of NC to announce a statewide campaign for the Democratic Alliance. The reason I'm here specifically is because I plan on going all across the state, to small towns and big cities, to show that the DA is here for all North Carolinians. From Wolf Creek to Nag's Head, from Charlotte to Raleigh, from Asheville to Wilmington, and everywhere in between, we are here for you!

Right behind me is an example of how you all have been left behind. Normal Politicians have felt that small town issues don't matter for a long time. The DA is not a normal political party. We have plans to fight for you, to invest in small towns, rural counties, and unincorporated areas. This isn't just lip service. I wouldn't have come here today if it was.

Let's fight to make a better future for NC! Vote DA!

While on a campaign bus to our next destination, I announced online that the campaign song for the DA campaign in North Carolina was Save You! by Galneryus: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7s2l1EXf3DI

Not only is it a kick-ass song, (though since I don't speak Japanese I have no idea what half the lyrics mean, though come to think of it that's part of the charm right) but specifically part of the chorus echoes our message:
"Save us! We want to save you and us!
Lead us! We want to lead you and us!"

We want to save ourselves and the people of NC from the 2-party system that has not been paying attention to many of them. We want to lead the people of NC into a new future, and we will lead ourselves to better practices and better government.

Hello Cherokee!

Today I'm here because I think it's important to emphasize DA's commitment to Native communities like yours.

Native communities have been stuck in an endless cycle of poverty for decades. Politicians simply take your votes for granted and then go and do nothing to help you. DA is different.

Our focus on small community development helps reduce poverty in all small town areas. And that includes Cherokee. We have plans to invest in you. Already you can see how we're delivering on promises. Just this weekend I introduced the GARRISON Act to help create accessible recreational areas in communities across the South. These places for people to gather and for children to play have been linked to economic development extensively. This is just one bit of our plan to revitalize small communities, and you can sure as hell bet that we'll fight to put it in place here in NC too.

But we can't do it without your vote. Be sure to vote DA when you go to the ballot box this month.

Good Morning Asheville!

I'm glad to be here today in one of my favorite cities.

You know, there's a lot of politicians out there who are just full of hot air. They'll say that they're going to fight for this thing or that thing, but then when they actually are elected they do nothing and sit on their ass all day. I'd know because I will admit that I was one of those people. But that's far behind me.

Just this weekend I introduced the GARRISON Act to help fund the construction and expansion of accessible recreational areas. I didn't just talk about this last month because I wanted sympathy, and votes, I said it because I knew I and the rest of the DA would fight for it. The current establishment continues to ignore you, not even by not doing what they promised, but by making no commitments at all! Have you seen a single Laborite politician campaigning this month yet? I thought not. Meanwhile the DA is out here every day to talk directly to the people we want to help. The people we want to save from this broken system.

Thank you! Now to your next great state Representative...

Former President Tmthforu94 campaigns in Wichita, KS

Good evening! I've spent the last couple months touring the country advocating for our DA candidates, and let me tell you how truly it is to be back home and kick off our campaign to win Kansas!

As a Kansan born and raised, the Democratic Alliance resonated with me as soon as it was being formed. Collectively as a party, the Democratic Alliance is filled with dedicated public servants - leaders - who will be ready on Day 1 to create a government here in Kansas that works for all, regardless of political party, income, gender, race or anything else. This is a party that values pragmatism and common-sense solutions, not partisan games. I know that message resonates well with Kansans because that is what we are - common-sense, hard workers who are always willing to lend our neighbors a hand to help out. Look at our leaders, look at our candidates running - we're talking about qualified people who said enough with the failed two-party system, it is time for a party and a government that works for all of The People.

The Democratic Alliance is focused on continuous investments in infrastructure and programs that help communities here in Kansas suffering from economic decline. We must take a renewed investment in these areas, ensuring basic services such as healthcare and education are adequately funded, as well as investing in rural development programs and small business programs and subsidies. We need politicians who focus less on Wall Street and more on Main Streets in Kansas and across Atlasia.

This is an important election, here in Kansas, we have the opportunity to elect a government that will fight for all of us. I look forward to knocking on doors and continuing to talk with fellow Kansans in the coming weeks about why the Democratic Alliance is the best party to lead Kansas forward. Thank you! And now it is my pleasure to introduce your next Governor.....

Former President Tmthforu94 Campaign Schedule
September 21st - 22nd

September 21st:
- Radio interview with Pete Mundo Talk Show, Kansas City, MO
- Interview with the Shawnee Mission Post
- Meeting with the Johnson County Chamber of Commerce
"Leaders from both parties in the Southern Chamber are currently voting for what might be the largest tax increase in the history of Atlasia. The Democratic Alliance has been the only party to take a stand against this. This will hurt so many here in Johnson County and across the state, not just the middle class. It is bad for business and extremely risky as we strive to rebuild our economy from the impact of COVID-19."
- Campaign Rally in Topeka, Kansas
*Social distancing guidelines observed*
"Good evening, Topeka!

It's been a joy getting to campaign in my homestate for the last couple of weeks, and I'm happy to be here again as we close out this campaign.

Many other leaders within the DA have a proven record of bipartisanship and working for all of Atlasia - the idea that what unites us is greater than what divides us, that as Atlasians we can overcome our differences to find solutions. This desire for unity and action, something that has been missing, is what led us to form the Democratic Alliance in the first place. Now today, our message is resonating with voters, and as the two-party system realizes it's days our numbered, a common line we're seeing from the right and the left is that the DA is too inexperienced and too new, we can't be trusted!!! As a member of the DA and someone who has a long, proven record that Kansans know, I find that a bit laughable, don't you!! Our party is full of active, dedicated servants from all sides, and while we're still growing in numbers, you can see from the work on the ground the commitment and dedication to service DAers have...this did not happen over night, rather, from years of service from many of us. No one is more prepared to lead Kansas and Atlasia forward than your Democratic Alliance candidates are, because we have proven records of activity and working with all sides to get the job done.

We saw the effects of big government here several months ago, when the leader of Fremont escalated tensions between regions to the point where we had devastating consequences here in the state. That is not responsible leadership. Kansans have spoken on the issue and are happy with staying in the South - this entire debacle was fabricated from outside interests and is a distraction from the real issues that are facing Kansans. In the midst of a pandemic, some leaders seemed more focused on trying to move Kansas to Fremont than they did on helping citizens with COVID relief and getting our economy back to work.

The Democratic Alliance is the party that will bring responsible governance here to Kansas. Our party will fight hard for more opportunities for the middle class. The South has always prided itself on supporting economic growth, but we're seeing the opposite today as both of the major parties are united in delivering one of the largest tax increases on the middle class in Atlasian history. It is risky and reckless, especially in a time like this of such economic uncertainty.

When the election starts this weekend, I ask you to give Democratic Alliance candidates your vote up and down the ticket. We are ready to work for you. And now, it is my pleasure to introduce your next Governor....."

September 22nd:
- Meet and Greet with supporters in Emporia, KS
"It's great to be here today at the Emporia Park, I've stopped here many times traveling from Wichita to Kansas City. Ya'll have the closest Braum's to my home! One of our recent pushes as a party has been sponsoring legislation for accessible playground equipment across the South, so that ALL of our children can enjoy the great outdoors and its thrills."
- Photo Op at the Flint Hills with local Farmers and Ranchers
- Meeting with Catholic leaders in Wichita, KS to discuss religious freedom
- Private fundraiser with DA Gubernatorial candidate in Wichita, KS
"Other parties aren't paying as much attention to Kansas, but we are here on the ground working tirelessly to take a majority this weekend. We have a great Governor candidate here, lots of good people up and down the ballot. Kansas is a state known for it's pragmatism and the belief that good ideas can come from both sides. This is a ripe place for a DA victory, and with your financial support to help us close out the last few days strong, I know we can deliver a big victory for The People of Kansas next weekend!"

WB's NC Tour (what's happened the past few days?)

Hickory Optimist Park, Hickory NC
Quote from: Excerpt of WB speech in Hickory NC
I specifically chose this park to make my speech because I know that I'll be optimistic for this state when we win at the end of this month. I know that if we win, North Carolina wins.

Durham Park, Boone NC
WB met with students of Appalachian State University and discussed how reopening was going, and how the DA plans to help small towns like Boone prosper.

Central Park, Winston-Salem NC
Quote from: Excerpt of WB speech in Winston-Salem NC
When I was in Hartsville a month ago, I promised that the Democratic Alliance would fight for accessible recreation spaces. We've stayed true to our word. The GARRISON Act now is on the floor to do exactly what we promised.

We're not a normal political party. We do what we say we will.

Armstrong Park, High Point NC
WB met with local residents and detailed the actions of DA governments elsewhere in Atlasia and stated that the NC DA would do the same.

Lake Daniel Park, Greensboro NC
Quote from: Excerpt from WB speech in Greensboro NC
The Democratic Alliance is facing the issue of police brutality head on. Why is it that the major parties were squeamish on the idea of facing it here in the south? The fact of the matter is that they want to dodge controversial topics as much as possible. That only drives us further apart. We must unite to take on those issues. The DA is doing just that.

Burlington City Park, Burlington NC
Quote from: Excerpt from WB Speech in Burlington NC
...and while we work to fight for racial justice through reforming the police, some politicians want to see the overly broad definition of qualified immunity remain. I have objected to this and I'm glad to say that an amendment striking a repeal of qualified immunity is likely to fail. I am shocked, however, that members from both big parties are supporting keeping this overly broad measure that has stifled justice in the past.

Forest Hills Park, Durham NC
Quote from: Excerpt from WB Speech in Durham NC
And where are the big parties at? Labor is in North Dakota, while the Federalists are nowhere to be found. They're taking your vote for granted. Show them that your vote is your voice. Vote DA.

Polk Place, Chapel Hill NC
Quote from: Excerpt from WB Speech in Chapel Hill NC
Labor has already begun to try and distract from their dishonest attacks on my good friend tmth. Alarms about the DA secretly being right-wing were completely unfounded.

Labor already knows they lost the argument. They bullied a good, principled politician into taking a leave of absence. They did this under the guise of "protecting the south from far-right governance", a threat that was nonexistent. They don't care about the South. They don't care about you. They care about trying to get opposition crushed underneath their heel.

North Carolina State Capitol Grounds, Raleigh NC
Quote from: Excerpt from WB speech in Raleigh NC
Pragmatism. Good government. Rational thinking. These are the concepts that guide the DA. We will save NC from the big parties! We will lead NC into a new future! We want to lead you and us!

Sycamore Street Park, Rocky Mount NC
Quote from: Excerpt from WB speech in Rocky Mount NC
As of now I'm glad to say that I'm working with tmth on a bill to provide housing to those in need. No one should sleep on the street, and the answer is not to toss them in jail as some places seem to want, but to give them the chance to get back on their feet. You can't pull yourself up by your bootstraps if you have none to begin with.

Tar River Park, Greenville NC
Quote from: Excerpt from WB Speech in Greenville NC
Hey, this isn't the right Greenville! *laughs*

...the truth is that the Democratic Alliance is not focused on complete electoral domination like Labor. They do everything they can to "own the feds" and others who don't mindlessly follow them. The Democratic Alliance, meanwhile, is focused on cooperation, and yes, that includes Labor. We voted with the majority of Labor delegates to keep a repeal of qualified immunity in the Justice in Policing Act. We are willing to work with everyone, even those who hate us, because we do not harness hate for political purposes. We harness love for political purposes.

Meet the Candidates @Sunset Grille in Duck, NC
WB met with locals along with the local candidates for the state Legislature. WB specifically talked about continued support for small fishers in the Outer Banks.

Jockey's Ridge State Park, Nags Head NC
Quote from: Excerpt from WB Speech in Nags Head
Coastal communities are hit hard by storms every single year. And every single year we spend millions to put telephone and power lines back up, only for a falling tree to cause them to crash down again next year. Why do we need to keep up this cycle? That's why the DA is going to push to have coastal counties move their power lines underground. It would not be cheap, but it would not be a waste of money either. We would not spend nearly as much each year to put those poles back up every single year, multiple times a year even.

Rodanthe Pier, Rodanthe NC
Quote from: Excerpt from WB speech in Rodanthe
I'm here because it's important to say once again that the Democratic Alliance cares about everyone. From the westernmost point in Wolf Creek to the easternmost point right here in Rodanthe, from the southernmost point at Cape Fear up to the Virginia border, we care about you. We will fight for you. We have proven time and time again that we take actions behind these words.

Long Leaf Park, Wilmington NC
Quote from: Excerpt from WB speech in Wilmington
I find it no surprise that Labor has already begun to criticize us. But I'm now wondering what the hell they're thinking. Truman today specifically attacked our own ads, where I could be heard talking about Garrison's dream. The dream that other kids like him could enjoy our parks and playgrounds.

Truman seems to not care at all that he's attacking our efforts to help disabled folks. He seems to not care that we're fighting to stop police brutality. He seems to not care at all about the facts. No, Mr. First Minister, Labor are the dishonest ones here, not the DA. The Democratic Alliance has worked with all sides. We are not hacks. You are.

I once again find myself losing great respect for someone I believed to be a caring person. Labor has shown their true colors.
