Most Asians believe that affirmative action has a bias against them, will this dwindle Biden's Asian support?

This doesn't strike me as much of a live issue right now outside of California.

Asians aren't single-issue anti-affirmative action voters.

Hawaii already favors incumbent Presidents. The affirmative action issue probably puts the Aloha State out of Biden's reach. Likely to Safe R.

Can we stop this trend of white nationalists starting threads thinking they know how non-white voters think?

The only people who still care about affirmative action are racist weirdos who didn't get into their first-choice college.

You sound like one of those left-fascists who just wants to stifle free speech and create a liberal echo chamber. Wink

What? This is literally the “I have a black friend” argument.

Aside from the observable fact you’re supporting a racist president, if you have to point that out, well you might be racist.

If anything, affirmative action just motivated me to work even harder to get into my choice schools.

It has its issues, of course, but I don't pay it much mind.

Asians who are archetypal single-issue affirmative action voters probably weren't going to vote Dem in the first place.

No.

Did you really think they are going to vote for a president that uses racial slurs like "kung flu" and "Chinese virus"?

Affirmative action is not a national issue. Asians have been solid D voters for a long time and Trump is about the worst kind of candidate to bring a highly educated demographic like them over.

Affirmative action also helps lots of Asian Americans. Using your ancestry and ethnic identity in essays for example can be a powerful thing. Plus, many Asian Americans are of lower income and would have a harder time getting into very selective schools.

Doubtful.
Especially considering Trump’s race baiting with Covid-19.
Maybe IF the economy was doing well, IF there was no virus, and IF Affirmative Action became one of the most relevant issues of the day, then maybe Trump could win over some Asians. That’s not happening right now.
