What exactly is „Election Twitter“ ?
Is it an organization or website ?
Or is it a bunch of random people interested in elections who post on Twitter and who are crowdfunding polls ?
The second one. They use the hashtag #electiontwitter as their community. Basically it’s people that analyze elections on twitter and love making precinct maps. One of the big people in it is a former member of the forum, J. Miles Coleman. There’s a few others that post here and on Election Twitter.
In this case, they crowdfunded a poll, but I don’t think that was common for them to do in the past.
