Partially due to the pandemic and being at high risk, I don't think I'll leave NC in 2020. The last time before this, was 2006, where I had a major medical procedure.

What about you?

Probably the year I was born in 2003. I know my dad took me to see his Jobsite at Notre Dame in 2004-2005. I don't know really, 2006-2007 may also be right, but there I have gone to Disney world from 2008-2016 at least, and I have been commuting to school (Indiana and Wisconsin) for the last couple years.

For me, it would be appropriate to answer this question in the opposite form. I haven't been outside of Colorado since 2017, when my family went on a road trip to San Antonio and Austin, Texas. Originally, I was supposed to be going to Washington D.C. for the AEI Summer Honors Summit at the end of July, but that was canceled and moved online because of the pandemic. So it's highly unlikely that I leave Colorado this year.

Probably never.  The grandparents always lived in another state, so as a child I always traveled out of state.  I was even born out of my home state.

Maybe 2005 or earlier, but not after that. Being in northern Oregon, it's really easy to cross the river over into Washington, and my family also goes on semi-frequent vacations.

Not sure. 2017, maybe?

EDIT: Yep, 2017.

The last year I stayed in one state the whole time was...2009, I think.

Otherwise, I'd have to go back to 1996 or '95.

Heck, the answer might even be never thanks to the close proximity Nevada is, especially at Lake Tahoe.

I haven't left yet in 2020, but I probably will take a trip to Omaha or something.

I don't think I've ever stayed in one state for an entire year.

Probably never.  I'm too close to the state line.

The last time I went to Missouri was on June 26, when I went to my dentist's.  (Actually, that was the last time I left my subdivision.)

Given that I've gone to New Jersey to visit my relatives a least a couple of times every year and have traveled a lot otherwise, maybe 1997?

Never, as I live in an autonomous city (200km² / 75 sq miles)

2020 will very likely be as close as I'll ever get to not leaving the city proper

No idea ... from 1998 to 2019, we lived in Iowa with our family in Illinois; between Thanksgiving and Christmas at the VERY least, those years are out.  As for 1991 to 1998, I have no idea ... I know I had already been to Door County, WI for vacation, North Carolina for vacation and NOVA to visit my aunt and uncle during those years, some multiple times.  I’m honestly inclined to say never.

(So far in 2020, I had already visited my sister in Indianapolis back in February, and we have been back to see our families in Iowa multiple times over the past few months.)

My guess is 1999, although 2020 most likely will be too

Probably 2011.  I'm not big on travel, but ever since mom died, the family holidays have been with my eldest sister's family in North Carolina, so I've travelled out of State every year since then.

It's got to be 1991 or earlier.  I was a kid in 1991, and I don't remember every interstate trip from when I was a kid, but 1991 is a possibility.  If not then, then some time in the 80s.

At least until this year.  I began 2020 in Minnesota, but flew back to California on Jan. 1st.  So I haven't *left* California this year, though I did enter it, since I started somewhere else.  Depending on what happens with coronavirus, I might not leave the state this year.

Most likely never, as we always had family in different states and had a second home when I was growing up.  2020 will likely be just the fourth year since 2008 where I haven't left the Continental US, though (2015, 2016, and 2017).

I've been to Tennessee, Alabama, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia, and South Carolina this year.  Several of those were just pass through though.

2020 will likely be the first year since I was a young child where I didn't get on an airplane, though.
