I just drank beer alone in my apartment, lol.

Assuming you are 21 years of age or older, this is perfectly acceptable (in moderation, or in the context of regular exercise, of course).

My bike tire popped the day before and I ran out of patches, and by the time the shop was open, it was already too late to enact my plans.

The enormous gaggle of Covidiots having a barbecue across the street from my house. No masks, no distancing. I'm losing my mind here.

Not much. I thought I would have to remind my guests to put on their masks and maintain social distancing but we had a safe and thoroughly enjoyable party.

I was grappling with how hard it is to celebrate the independence of a country that is so painfully flawed while also being my home, which I love

July 4 was the first time I had met a group friends in-doors since mid-March. We played Poker.

We can all agree that it's flawed in different ways, but we've certainly come a long way. Our Founders knew this themselves, which is why they strived for a more perfect Union.

I agree, but I think coming a long way is not good enough. I think a lot of leftists lose sight of the goal, which is to make America better, and right wingers lose sight of the purpose, which is to improve the lives of Americans. If that makes sense.
