One of the best film composers of all time. Wrote the score for my favorite movie ever.

A great composer who influenced many other great musicians. Very sad.

If only if he could have written for a few film scores more.

RIP to the greatest film composer of all time.

A tribute then. Complete with probably the best violinist to give it.

F***! Him and Charlie Daniels (I hate country music, but I love "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" which is more Southern Rock anyway. It's also the only song I know all the words to) all in one day?! And the same week as Carl Reiner?! The world is seriously becoming doomed to be legendless at this point.

Morricone really might be the greatest composer ever. He's scored movies I've disliked yet his scores are always phenomenal and unforgettable.

It's coincidental timing too because I am actually having a friend over this weekend to watch 'The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly' since he hasn't seen it before.

One of the few music score producers to come out of some very un-funky sounding periods of history still sounding good.

Had an ear for writing classic tunes that will live long past his own lifetime.

RIP, Maestro

A great composer who influenced many other great musicians. Very sad.

One of my favorites by him is Chi Mai. Listening to it, I can see some influences on the music of LotR and Sherlock.
