Heads up, the campaign period ends tomorrow, in approximately 33 hours. I can only say that I've been impressed with the amount of work people have put into it, and very much look forward to calculating and releasing the final result.

I can say voting will be assumed to be taking place across Saturday, and then I'll have a week to calculate, write and release the whole thing, along with taking up questions/suggestions/criticisms from this first iteration and devising what comes next for August (among other things, I'm considering releasing polls at the start of the campaign so people have a better grasp on where the parties stand).

The polling would definitely be better, also maybe some polling on their views on political issues, since I think that could make more effective campaigning, if for instance, people knew that being pro-choice was very important in Massachusetts, or if people knew that being pro-life was important in Oklahoma, it would allow for people to cater their campaigns towards those issues.

Not sure if this is the appropiate thread to say this, but Labor will, as is tradition federally, be allied with the Peace Party.

Labor will also have alliances with the Tricolor party in Lincoln and with the Southern Trans Rights Party in the South.

Very much appropiate. I do need to hear from Peace and STR as well to confirm.

Well from conversations I've had, it seems Peace is without leadership as of now since Leinad is MIA and Koopa defected to the Greens

So I suppose we won't have much cooperation with Peace after all Sad

The campaign period is hereby closed. My sincere thanks to those who participated! I have some news:

-The campaign events (speeches, the Youtube ads, the posters, etc.) have all been listed and graded.
-Each state up for election has been clasified in terms of their previous electoral results and current partisan alignment, as per tonight's update from the Registrar General.
-Saturday is assumed to be the actual Election Day, but results will not be ready tomorrow night.

I'll probably have to put greater emphasis on solving the Acta Publica backlog first, but the groundwork before the actual calculations is ready, which is good. Depending on how much time and energy I have after dealing with work stuff, I'll determine how to best release the results (a major single update, one state at a time over a period of days, etc.).

Other than that, I'm greatly encouraged by the public response - as I've made clear -, and it's been wonderful to see the Elections Board having some extra degree of activity. Some of you have also been rather creative (at times mischievously so), which is probably going to have interesting effects.

Note: Welcome to the Election Special! All results have been calculated, and I'll be releasing them now (takes time to do the format). Proper analysis and feedback will go on an extended Acta Publica update once we're finished with all of them.

Confirming this (forgot to confirm before the election), and Tricolor representatives will caucus with the Labor Party.

Also great work on these results, I'm looking forward to the next round of elections!

Tbh I am surprised Labor did so well and other parties did badly. I really expected us to get demolished.

Also susprised NYC mayor did not go to the Libs considering all the boosts Poirot must have had

btw, Labor has a plurality in IL House of Reps. 56/118 misses the majority mark by 3 seats (for 50% flat) or 4 seats for non-tied.

For what its worth, the "Majority/Minority" considers only the party or electoral alliance rather than the potential (or inevitable parties), so Weatherboy is right. The post-mortem in the Acta Publica will reflect how some of these minorities become majorities through already announced alignments, but there are some cases (Arizona, Colorado Senate, Virginia and Rhode Island) where more parties will have to combine to form majorities.

In Arizona and Colorado, the local Greens are open for coalition talks. Contact PSOL, King Tchenka or me to hold talks.

You can now check the Acta Publica for an article on the race with some feedback. If you have any public or private doubts, please let me know.

Now I'll be opening Phase 2 (August) exclusively for parties to announce they're standing or whether they're in an electoral pact (campaign will not start for a few days). This time you'll recieve early polling to get a better sense of where we stand, and I'll let you know of any changes to the rules.

I did not make all calculations but noticed in your legislator totals you have Dixieland patriots with 1 but results by state show them win 1 rep in Alabama and 1 in Virginia.
