BREAKING: Trump will not endorse Cruz, only Republican in 2016 field to do so

In a shocking interview with Fox News, Donald Trump, the runner up to Ted Cruz, announced that he will not endorse Cruz for President. This comes as no surprise, as the bad blood between the two ran throughout the campaign, with Trump hurling personal insults at Cruz, almost helping Cruz to win the nomination. Trump ruled out a 2016 independent run, citing the need to keep “Crooked Hillary” out of office. But he did not rule out running in 2020, no matter the nominee.
Senator Marco Rubio, the 3rd place finisher in the GOP primary, denounced Trump, saying the country must rally behind Ted Cruz if they want to win the Presidency back. Ted Cruz’s running mate, Carly Fiorina, said that this was another act by Donald Trump to try and gain some publicity, saying that Cruz feels his support is not needed to win the election. John Kasich, the 4th place finisher in the GOP race, said that he is happy Ted won and that someone like “him” [Trump] was not the GOP nominee.

Mike Pence, the Cruz campaign’s co-chair, said that Donald Trump is a laughable candidate and that Ted Cruz should not worry about this. Democrats hope Trump’s base will either not vote at all or vote for someone like Gary Johnson, the Libertarian nominee or Darrell Castle, the Constitution nominee.

Murmurs inside Cruz campaign; Fiorina may be dumped from the ticket

Cruz originally chose Fiorina because of her female, conservative and business background, but as Cruz feels the need to have more experience on the ticket, he now sees Fiorina as too inexperienced. And as more of her shady business background begins to come out, Cruz may consider changing his running mate. A leaked shortlist includes Ohio Governor John Kasich, Florida Senator Marco Rubio, Florida Governor Rick Scott, Indiana Governor Mike Pence and South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley. Nothing is confirmed yet.

BREAKING: Fiorina committed tax fraud in 2012 and 2013; dropped from the ticket

The GOP Vice Presidential nominee Carly Fiorina has been found to have committed tax fraud in 2012 and 2013. The Cruz campaign has cut ties to Fiorina and Cruz has released a statement that he has removed her from the ticket and the GOP has removed her from the ballots, and will hold an emergency vote for the next Vice Presidential nominee, which Cruz will announce tomorrow.

BREAKING: John Kasich announced and confirmed as the new Vice Presidential nominee

John Kasich, the Governor of Ohio, has been chosen as the Vice Presidential Nominee on the GOP ticket. Kasich won his home state of Ohio in the presidential primary, and endorsed Cruz after he dropped out. Kasich was very Anti-Trump and would not have endorsed him had he won the nomination. Kasich was an avid campaigner for Cruz and now he will join the ticket for Vice President.

September 26, 2016 - The first Presidential debate

The first Presidential debate between Senator Ted Cruz and Secretary Hillary Clinton was a brawlfest. Cruz and Clinton traded personal blows and tended to shy away from the actual topics at hand. Cruz did make a good argument separating his religious views from his political views on abortion. Clinton's emails were brought up by leaks from the Cruz campaign indicate that it will be a big topic in the 2nd, town hall style debate. Immigration was brought up, and it may be the biggest issue separating the two candidates. Cruz is in favor of basically a no immigration mass deportation policy. Clinton is in favor of open borders. It seems that no one has won this debate, and people are looking forward to the vice presidential debate between Clinton's running mate Senator Tim Kaine from Virginia, and Cruz's running mate Governor John Kasich from Ohio.

Post Debate Polls:

Hillary Clinton: 48%
Ted Cruz: 46%
Undecided: 6%

Who Won the Debate?

Hillary Clinton: 36%
Ted Cruz: 33%
None: 31%

October 4, 2016 - Vice Presidential Debate

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, John Kasich. Kasich wiped the floor with Kaine, and it wasn't even close. Mirroring the Dan Quayle-Lloyd Bentsen debate of 1988, Kasich capitalized on Kaine's mistakes and beraded him on being a part of the establishment, and beat him on all of his issues.

Post Debate Polls:

Ted Cruz: 48%
Hillary Clinton: 47%
Undecided: 5%

Who Won the Debate?

John Kasich: 67%
Tim Kaine: 30%
None: 3%

October 9, 2016 - 2nd Presidential Debate

Ted Cruz had the debate of his life. In a town hall style debate, Ted fielded questions and somehow made every question into how Hillary's stance was bad and his was good. Ted fielded questions well and took advantage of his rise in the polls. Overall Ted won this debate, without a doubt. Hillary needs to make a comeback in the next debate in order to rebound in the polls

October 19, 2016 - Final Presidential Debate

This debate was another tie. Cruz shied away from attacks on Clinton instead to focus on his record as a conservative and a constitutionalist, including his pro-gun and pro-life stances. Clinton pushed back on abortion and immigration, two major topics of this debate. Cruz also attacked Obama, making Clinton defend the President and help connect her campaign more to Obama, a strategy emplored by Cruz to win over moderate voters who want change.

January 20, 2017 - Cruz inaugurated

"I, Rafael Edward Cruz, do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. So help me god.

After the inaugural ball, Cruz and his family spent their first night at the White House, and the next day, Cruz was ready to get to work.

January 22, 2017 - Fair Tax Act passes the House and Senate, signed by President Cruz.

Representatives Rob Woodall (R-GA) and John Ratcliffe (R-TX) have drafted a bill they call the Fair Tax Act. Sponsored by many Republicans, Woodall and Ratcliffe took the lead on the bill. Among other things, the bill abolishes the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), repeals income taxes, payroll taxes, estate taxes and gift taxes. It also establishes a federal sales tax on consumption as opposed to income, and simplifies the tax code. Woodall and Ratcliffe are staunch allies of the President are are helping him deliver on his promise of abolishing the IRS and simplifying the tax code. A flat tax is not included in this bill, but it is likely the President will push for this. The bill passed the House 236-195. In the Senate the bill passed 51-49, with Murkowski and Collins voting nay. The bill was signed by President Cruz and he will address the press later in the day.

January 26, 2017 - President Cruz nominates Mike Lee for the Supreme Court

President Cruz has nominated Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) to fill the vacancy left by the death of Antonin Scalia on February 13, 2016, almost one year ago. Cruz and Lee are close allies in the Senate, and Lee was one of the first Senators to endorse Cruz for President. Many do not like this appointment, instead favoring a judge as opposed to a US Senator. But, barring an awful showing in his Senate hearing, Lee should easily pass the Senate.
