Wow! I'm surprised AK didn't flip, but the state is pretty detached from the rest of the nationally politically and therefore isn't as affected by wave elections. I'm assuming Biden win in this scenario, so I'd be curious how Ds won a GA(S) runoff election after the election, since in southern special elections, Rs typically have better turnout, especially after Rs just got blown out of the water across the board. I would wonder how close TX was, and if the "suburbs" really helped Cornyn win his race. i'd definately be glad Graham was gone.

South Carolina would not flip before Texas.

I'm very surprised why Dems didn't gain AK and TX in this scenario and didn't hold AL

I wouldn't mind the Senate GOP getting a taste of their own medicine, but not by this margin.

This sort of margin would likely push me further back to the right.

To me it's very hard to see the Georgia special go Democratic because of the runoff situation.

Even if it meant that a bunch of good for nothing Trump toadies were gone for good? In the medium term, I think this margin is exactly what the GOP needs. If it’s too narrow, it will embolden some of the folks who want to continue to Trumpify the party. A clear rout like this may be enough of a traumatic force to disrupt that trend.

That would be scary because the country would move too far to the left.  Tax rate would probably be 70%.  Pass.

Prepare myself for the 58-44 majority once DC gets admitted.

60-44 with Puerto Rico.

I'd be pretty baffled that Texas and Alaska stayed firmly red even though South Carolina flipped. They both seem more vulnerable to flipping in a Dem wave like this than South Carolina.

Overall, I'd be pretty baffled but pleased with this map. If Alabama stayed blue and South Carolina stayed red, this would be a pretty interesting reversal of the 2014 elections, with Dems holding all their seats and picking up 9 Republican ones.
