This assumes that the GOP had a decent mid term (as Ron won a second term) but the real stretch is someone other than Biden's VP getting the nomination.  I can only guess they had no interest or didn't have enough support to command a leading position in the Democratic primary.  Feel free to theorize why.

And, I have another update coming on my TL, I've just been behind.

Cuomo would stomp DeSantis.

Two governors who oversaw the covid-19 crisis. Cuomo has been praised by nearly everyone while DeSantis has been widely mocked.

2024 is likely in the middle/end of the economic recovery, and voters are absolutely going to trust Cuomo over DeSantis.

The debates would include a lot of comments about how the other handled the coronavirus crisis. Cuomo would end up winning because of this. Not exactly a blowout but still a very comfortable victory.
