Who will be the 2024 Democratic nominee for President?

I think it'll be Harris (as the incumbent Vice President) or Kennedy III (if beats Markey and decides to run for President in 2024.)

What do you think?

It'll be Vice President Kamala Harris after surviving a left wing challenge from AOC in the primary

Biden. Don't underestimate him twice, folks!

If not him, the pseudo-frontrunner right now is Harris, though she's wouldn't be the odds-on favourite even if Biden's resignation was guaranteed unless and until her VP selection is official.

My guess-

If Biden wins-

It will be his VP.

If Trump wins, there are 3 scenarios-

 Republicans eventually lose Congress -
AOC might have a shot but it will probably be someone like Warren.

The Dems hang on it the House but Republicans otherwise keep the senate until 2024
- It will probably be someone like Buttigieg.

The Dems get annihilated in 2020 and don't recover in 2022
- It will probably be someone like Gabbard (someone who can "make peace" with Trumpism)

Given the probability of a Biden victory this year and him serving only one term, whomever his VP winds up being. So probably Harris given her odds of being selected.

I do wonder though given the leftward trajectory of the Democratic Party if she could be more vulnerable to a left-wing challenger more than Gore or Hillary ever was? Warren seems like she wants to run again.

Biden's VP, which is Harris or Warren or Lujan Grisham.

Whether they can win on their own against Hawley or DeSantis or Haley is the question.

As opposed to now?  I don't have anything really against the guy, honestly, and I actually really liked him during the previous primaries he ran in.  However, he's slipping, and that is the cold hard truth, in my eyes.  (None of this is to say Donald Trump is in a fit mental state, either.)

I think Biden's going to show us he is not too old and he has not gotten senile.

Harris. She won't get a lot of challengers. Left-wing would probably try and stick with one person running. Likely AOC. Harris easily defeats AOC.

If Biden wins: Kamala Harris or whoever his VP is if he decides not to run again

If Trump wins: Andrew Cuomo

If Biden wins this time, probably Biden’s VP, but I wouldn’t rule out Biden himself, even at 82.

If Trump wins re-elections, I’d say Cuomo or Warren.  Warren would be possible if the left blames their previous two losses on being “too moderate.”

Torn between Harris and Biden rn, since I'm not as confident as others that Biden's going to be a one-term president, especially if he ends up being successful. If he's not a successful president though - and there are a lot headwinds going against him - I think people are underrating the odds that there would be a significant primary challenger to Harris/Biden who doesn't associate themselves with the progressive wing of the party. He's not on poll for whatever reason, but Mayor Pete, e.g., seems like exact type of guy who'd want to take advantage of a flailing administration and has the national profile to do so.

Harris, who will easily defeat a primary challenge from AOC. Given Biden's age, I'm sure he'd be a one-term president and given that he's been open about "passing the torch" to a younger generation of Democrats, I'd expect him to retire and for Harris, as the sitting VP to run.
