Back in 1930, Indian independence hero Mahatma Gandhi led a march in protest of the oppressive salt laws that were gravely affecting the people of India.

90 years later, a new opressive salt law is being debated in the Lincoln Council; much like those that the British imposed on their indian colony. We the people of Lincoln must say NO to these oppresive salt laws.

Therefore, I am announcing a new salt march, this time on the opposite side of the globe, to protest these salt laws; just like Gandhi did 90 years ago.

This march will be scheduled for Saturday 14th of November. It will start in Morristown, New Jersey; home of the current Chancellor, and slowly head its way east towards New York City and the Lincoln capitol.

Along the way there will be a scheduled stop at McDonalds for lunch and at another fast food restaurant for dinner

Here is the bill in question that we will protest: https://talkelections.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=409201

Lincoln will say a strong NO to these salt laws! Let's defend our right to the food we want!

I will march for these laws because it doesn't fulfill the goal of banning McDonalds!

PSA: The march's location will be changed.

Instead of starting in Morristown, it will now start in Philadelphia, PA; where the original sponsor of the bill is registered. (Dwarven Dragon). It will also be moved forward by a couple of days. Here is the official plan:

Monday, 16th of November: Philadelphia to Andalusia, PA
Tuesday 17th of November: Andalusia, PA to Trenton, NJ
Wednesday 18th of November: Trenton to South Brunswick, NJ
Thursday 18th of November: South Brunswick to Edison, NJ
Friday 19th of November: Edison, NJ to Staten Island, NY (requestiong permisson from the NYC council to use the Outerbridge crossing on foot. If denied, boats will be rented for this purpose)
Saturday 20th of November: Staten Island to Manhattan, NY (using the Staten Island ferry)

The march will also request food from the following fast food restaurants, to show Lincoln's support for our food and restaurant sector (from smallest to largest with 1 exception):

Day 1: Taco Bell
Day 2: Pizza Hut
Day 3: Burger King
Day 4: Kentucky Fried Chicken
Day 5: Subway
Day 6: McDonalds

Friday 19th of November: Edison, NJ to Staten Island, NY (requesting permission from the NYC council to use the Outerbridge crossing on foot. If denied, boats will be rented for this purpose)

Just popping in to pass on this press communication from my good friend the Mayor of New York City:

Quote
OFFICE OF THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

"Our fast food workers are essential workers and New Yorkers must stand with them against the draconian and arbitrary laws currently being debated in the Lincoln Council. I am in discussion with the City Council regarding the best way to show our support for this march without inadvertently causing undue harm or inconvenience to the people of New York and their daily business, ideally by approving a safe means of transport across the Outerbridge, but rest assured that we will find a way to do so."
