They said in 1992 (way before some of you were born, lol) that it was an "anti-incumbent" year and that there was a general mood in the electorate that the status quo was not working.  If Trump loses re-election, he would be the first since GHWB in 1992.  Could we see a revolt at the ballot box this year?

Yes. It looks like Democrats are going to have another 2008. They are looking increasingly likely to win back the senate and expand their house majorities.

The GOP might only pick up 5 or 6 house seats and the Alabama Senate seat.
