Lean R. It’s a better pick-up opportunity now, but it’s still a pretty Republican-leaning district.

She's also been endorsed by Salvini, that Italian politician from the party which is failing.

What would a Democratic presidency be without a literal right-wing nut job pushing cooky conspiracy theories on the floor of Congress. She will win, unless there is a legitimate write-in campaign or a near-universal disavowal by the Republican Party.

Look up Larry McDonald and Helen Chenoweth. Unfortunately, far-right nutjob conspiracy theorists in Congress have been a thing for much longer than you'd think.

Even though he was technically a (very, very conservative) Democrat, it also fits that McDonald's district includes a lot of the same territory as the one that Marjorie Taylor Greene is running for.

“Much was made of her "insistence" on the title "Congressman Chenoweth," (as opposed to the more common "Congresswoman")”

Boebert is awful candidate, and in D+8-10 environment this seat will flip. Lean D

Walker Stapleton won this district by 4 points. I really don’t think it’s going to flip.

Maybe if Greene and Boebert get elected they'll start a Q Caucus.

I'm gonna say Lean R, but somewhat closer to Tossup than Likely R.

1. Boebert herself just makes this thing more competitive, lol.

2. Large cash gap between DMB and Boebert.

3. There were almost as many Democratic primary votes as Republican primary votes.

4. The national climate is looking no better for the GOP this year. In fact, it's arguably worse than in 2018.

Uhhhh, that's evidence that this district absolutely could flip.

I am from here. This idea that "rural America" or the "white working class" is a monolithic community is just not the case. This district has plenty of wealthy and educated voters in La Plata and Garfield counties who regularly vote GOP that could easily waffle on this nutjob.

It's a tossup right now. And if Republicans don't treat it as such, Democrats will definitely win the seat.

Yeah, DMB isn't some left wing wacko, and Boebert is literally batsh**t crazy. Combine that with some residual ancestral Democratic strength, Hispanic voters, and ski-country liberals and some non-insane Republicans who may not like Boebert, this district absolutely could flip. This race is Tossup at worst for Dems right now.

I guess this is Lean R now? John Salazar did hold this seat from 2004 to 2010. I boundaries didn't change much after redistricting and only swapped some territory south of pueblo (Las Animas County and the part of Ortero County) for areas around Aspen.

Also, it's worth noting that Biden is leading in this state by a large margin (close to +20) which is almost guaranteed to make this seat competitive if not outright winnable for DMB.

I live in nearby Colorado Springs. I remain firmly cynical that the voters in this district won't bend over backwards to justify voting for this nutjob. Likely R.

It actually wouldn't shock me if Biden carried this district. Trump won it by 12 points but it was 52-40, most if the third party vote will probably go Biden and with how far ahead of Hillary he's running that's not too difficult to clear. Even Tipton only got 51.5% in 2018. With those numbers and the current environment it's difficult to see Boebert clearing 50%

So I'm gonna be bold and say Tilt D.

DCCC lying about her being a Q follower

https://www.npr.org/2020/07/01/885991730/gop-candidates-open-to-qanon-conspiracy-theory-advance-in-congressional-races

Boebert appeared on SteelTruth, a show hosted by QAnon believer Ann Vandersteel, during the primary campaign. In that interview, she said she was "very familiar" with the theory and voiced support for it, though she didn't say she fully believed in QAnon's ideas.

"Everything that I've heard of Q, I hope that this is real, because it only means America is getting stronger and better, and people are returning to conservative values, and that's what I am for," she said. "And so everything that I have heard of this movement is only motivating and encouraging and bringing people together stronger, and if this is real, then it could be really great for our country."
