How would Tucker Carlson perform if he ran for President of the United States in 2024?

How would he differentiate himself from the rest of the field?

He couldn't win a primary because he couldn't simply turn his opponents' mics off on the debate stage when he gets flustered.

Someone who called Arabs “semi literate monkeys” could never be elected President.

You are forgetting who is currently in the White House. If "sh*thole countries" didn't sink him, neither will "semi literate monkeys."

Donald Trump is a rude and crass bully, but he lacks the moral complexity and ethical depth to have strong views for or against racial equality. Calling him a racist or homophobic bigot is laughable to anyone with a passing understanding of homophobia or racism. The man lacks a certain type of conviction - not good or bad conviction, just conviction/character. He is too shallow to be terribly bigoted, as many men with money traditionally are.

Tucker Carlson is a registered Democrat, so unless he switches his registration to the Republican Party or runs as an independent/third-party candidate there is no way that he will have a chance at getting on the ballot.

A Tucker Carlson run is about as likely as a serious Stephen Colbert run.

He is the one to fear for the Dems. He's moderate enough on key issues to look appeasing to swing voters but is fascist enough to get the nomination.

I don't know what it is, but journalists make lousy politicians. They seem to develop a one-sided view of the world and become opinionated to the point of radicalization. They don't have to account to voters before they go into politics. If successful they can get away with arrogance that would shorten careers in politics.

Three examples that I could give:

Benito Mussolini. Enough said.
Julius Streicher, operator of Der Stuermer, the vile Jew-baiting rag .
Justas Paleckis, pro-Soviet 'quisling' who served as the cover for the Soviet takeover of Lithuania in 1940.
Senator Jesse Helms.

I'm not going to make much out of people who edited Commie rags who were Commies before they became leaders.
