With Kaiserdave's permission, two changes have occurred on my end.

Wels has resigned as Chairman of the SPD in accordance with his promise that if the referendum was in favour of the monarchy, he would resign. Otto Braun, Minister-President of Prussia and former SPD presidential candidate, has been elevated to the Chairmanship.

I've also taken on the role of Colonel Hans Oster in order to faciliatate another area of gameplay for everyone.

And I will note that just because Von Papen is no longer Chancellor doesn't mean he's completely disappearing.

He'll still be around to comment on the state of Germany from time to time (and he no longer really gets along with Hugenberg. He blames him for the defeat of the Constitutional Convention, and the situation which means the monarchy will not be returning.)

It's quite possible, assuming we're still dealing with a Presidential system of Government, that Von Papen runs to replace Hindenburg when Hindenburg passes on...

I quite agree. We could have won that vote legitimately, rather than Hugenberg rigging the election, and then none of this would have happened.

If the Republicans had won, I would have stayed on as Chancellor. But we'll never know now.

It was your own decision to resign.
Anyway, the determination of the KPD and SPD to take me down is completely understandable and adds value to the game. Yours is just petty if I can be honest.

Well, I'm quite pissed off at you for rigging a referendum, that with perfectly proper and actual campaigning, we could have won by legitimate means.

Give it until Hindenburg dies and we need a new President. I might calm down a bit by then.

There was basically no way for us to win fairly, since Zentrum allied with the Republicans. Accept that already lol

Do the math. Half of Zentrum allied with the Republicans. Not all of Zentrum.

And that's their decision. But you didn't have to make things worse by stuffing ballots. I would have preferred losing the referendum and having a working relationship, to what's going on now.

I would have accepted the results if I believed them fair. Alas, the DNVP has proven that it believes the law does not apply to them or their militias.

And if you're trying to defend yourself by saying "Well we couldn't have won legitimately so i rigged it", then basically your argument is "I have no faith that we'd win a fair referendum"

I can also confirm that in the event of the DNVP abandoning you, then the SPD would have been glad to make up the numbers.

Three days worth of brief statements, not three total.

Friendly reminder the Reichstag is not in session.

And FvP, you posted more slandering me today than campaign material, that was not your idea anyway.

(I may have made a mistake rigging it, but this is too much for me tbh)

True. Hindenburg likes you. I can't see him letting you get thrown out. He'll keep the Reichstag out of session until either he dies, or the threat of a no-confidence vote ends.

The no-confidence vote will not be disappearing until the SPD does.

Hindenburg is old and senile. I'd be worried about surviving a no-confidence vote when he dies, and you no longer have his protection...
