Kiel Accord

The Kingdom of Scandinavia, and the Kingdom of Prussia, hereby referred to as the signatories, agree to the following:

I . A pact of mutual defense is agreed upon, wherein one signatory is bound to come to the aid of the other, in the event of another great power’s commencement of war against the other.

   a . Included in this mutual defense is an automatic embargo against any aggressor power which declares war on the signatories.

II . The signatories agree to a removal of docking fees and a 50% reduction of tariffs in the Prussian ports of Lubeck, Danzig, and Konigsberg, and the Scandinavian ports of Malmo, Turku, and Fredrikstad.

III . The protection of Schleswig-Holstein’s German population will be codified.
 
   a . The Kingdom of Scandinavia’s sovereignty over the Duchy of Schleswig-Holstein is reaffirmed.
 
   b . The Prussian King’s role as protector of Schleswig-Holsteiner Germans is reaffirmed.
      1 . To ensure their protection, the Prussian King, with the approval of the Danish Minister of State, will appoint a liaison to reside in Kiel. This liaison will confirm to the Prussian court the proper treatment of the German population.

Declaration from Stockholm

After long deliberations between the French and Austrian delegations, the Crown of Scandinavia is pleased to announce the ratification of the following treaty regarding the Piedmontese Succession. All parties are hopeful that this agreement will cement the long Italian peace.

Treaty of Stockholm

1)    Prince Xavier, youngest grandson of Grand-Duchess Marie Joséphine of Savoy shall be designated as the heir to the Grand-Duchy of Piedmont and shall renounce his claim to the French throne.
2)   The Grand Duchy of Piedmont shall remain independent and neutral. It shall never become a protectorate  or be in a personal union with an another realm and shall never participate to any military conflicts except in the case of an invasion of its territories.

We, the Undersigned, declare without regard to the current conflict occurring within the Eyalet of Egypt, that the right of travel through the Suez is of paramount interest to the peace and prosperity of the civilized world. As such, the Suez Maritime Canal should always be free and open, in time of war as in time of peace, to every vessel of commerce or of war, without distinction of flag.

Viborg Agreement

The Tsardom of Russia and the Kingdom of Scandinavia, hereafter referred to as the signatories, agree to the following:

I . The signatories agree to respect the sovereignty of one another, and are forbidden from undertaking any action which would violate the national sovereignty of either signatory. Failure to adhere to this clause will render the remainder of the agreement void.
II . The signatories agree to free merchant docking rights in the Russian city of St. Petersburg and the Scandinavian city of Stockholm.
III . The signatories agree to a reduction of border fees between the Scandinavian Baltic provinces and the Tsardom of Russia by 50% for the purpose of encouraging new mercantile ventures.

Recognizing the importance of their New World and transatlantic partnership, the Kingdoms of Quebec and Scandinavia, hereafter referred to as the signatories, have formulated the following agreement.:

I . The signatories agree to respect the sovereignty of one another, and are forbidden from undertaking any action which would violate the national sovereignty of either signatory. Failure to adhere to this clause will render the remainder of the agreement void.
II . The signatories agree to a reduction of docking fees for their trading vessels of 25%,
III . The signatories reaffirm the freedom of maritime travel in the Hudson Bay.
IV . The signatories reaffirm the rights of Quebecois fishermen on both sides of the Great Slave Lake and in the Arctic Archipelago.
V . This agreement shall be up for renewal every third year after its signing.

Prague Conference

In the interests of maintaining peace in Germany and across the continent, the Habsburg Monarchy, the Kingdom of Prussia, and the Kingdom of Scandinavia, hereafter referred to as the signatories, have agreed to the following terms:

I . The entrance of any new German state into either the Holy Roman Empire or the German League must be approved unanimously by the signatories.
II . Both the Kingdom of Prussia and Habsburg Monarchy agree to cease individual negotiations with member states of the Holy Roman Empire and the German League respectively, and to only negotiate through their suprastate bodies.
III . The signatories agree to a mutual defensive alliance in order to protect the status quo in Germany. Any attack on one signatory will oblige the other signatories to commence hostilities with the offending state.
IV . The Electorate of Saxony’s borders will be restored to their pre-1780 status, with the lands lost being transferred to the Kingdom of Prussia.
V . The Duchy of Wurttemberg will resume its place within the Holy Roman Empire.

Treaty of Versailles

I. The Suez Canal shall be administrated by an eight member Suez Canal Commission. One member each shall be appointed by: the Ottoman Empire, Russia, Scandinavia, France, the British Empire, the Netherlands, Austria, and Prussia.
II. The Commission recognizes the territory and jurisdiction of the Ottoman Empire over the Canal.
III. The Ottoman Empire recognizes the administrative authority of the Suez Canal Commission over said Canal.

Treaty of Hormuz

I. The Kingdom of Scandinavia and the Shahdom of Persia agree to a non-aggression pact in perpetuity.
   a . The Shahdom of Persia recognizes Scandinavian sovereignty over Kish, Lavan, and Hormuz.
   b . The Kingdom of Scandinavia reaffirms Persian sovereignty over the remaining Persian administered islands of the Persian Gulf.

II. Formal Scandinavian and Persian embassies will be established in Tehran and Stockholm respectively.

A Proclamation From Stockholm

On the Formation of a Government
   Following lengthy negotiations between representatives of the conservative Lantmannpartiet and the liberal Vansterparti, and in this time of national crisis, His Majesty King Frederick and Her Majesty Queen Catherine are pleased to announce the formation of the National Assembly’s first government. Severin Lovenskiold, the eminent statesman from Christiana and leader of the Lantmannpartiet, has been appointed Statsminister of Scandinavia and invested with the honors of that office. Johan Gabriel Richert, leader of the Vansterparti, has been appointed Finansminister. The Crown is confident in its ministers’ abilities and welcomes wholeheartedly the arrival of constitutional rule to the Kingdom of Scandinavia. The cabinet is as follows:

On Foreign Interference
   With the full support of the National Assembly and the Crown, Statsminister Lovenskiold has opened a full inquiry into the ongoing matter of foreign interference in Scandinavia’s domestic matters. The Statsminister requests the full cooperation of both the Prussian and Russian governments in these matters. Refusal to cooperate with the inquiry will be viewed by the Scandinavian government as an unnecessary provocation and in response further action may be required.

On the Danish Straits
   Recognizing that commerce is the lifeblood of the Baltic, the Danish Straits shall at the present remain open to commerce from all nations.

On Baltic Unrest
   The Crown and the National Assembly are prepared to take steps to alleviate the ills of Scandinavia’s Baltic subjects. To that end, Peter von Scholten (V) has been appointed Baltiskaministerstatssekretare, and will oversee a commission of the locally elected Baltic governors in order to determine the course of action for restoring domestic tranquility in the region.

On Industrialization and Modernization
   With the appointment of Johan Gabriel Richert as Finansminister, Scandinavia will recommit itself to the modernization of its infrastructure and economic systems. Richert will coordinate the sponsorship of four new private railway companies, and will support the expansion of Scandinavia’s mills and iron mines, particularly those at Bergslagen. These ventures will serve as the foundation for Scandinavia’s further industrial development. To promote new enterprises, the national monopoly on trade in handicraft is hereby abolished.
   Richert will additionally be tasked with modernizing Scandinavia’s tax system, ensuring that waste, grift, and the practice of overtaxation are removed root and branch from Scandinavian administration.
   To further these aims, the Severin Ministry is pleased to announce the introduction of a free and mandatory four year public education in the year 1839.

Joseon-Scandinavian Treaty of Amity

The Kingdom of Joseon and the Kingdom of Scandinavia, hereafter referred to as the signatories, agree to the following:
I . The signatories, recognizing the benefits of a mutually friendly relationship, agree to undertake no actions which would infringe the sovereignty of the other.
II . The signatories agree to render aid to one another's merchantmen in need of aid on the high seas.

On Railroads
   With the previous creation of the Statliga Jarnvagsforetag (state railway companies), Johan Gabriel Richert has approved the creation of railway lines between the following cities:

On Industry
   With the approval of the National Assembly, state textile mills shall be founded on the Akerselva River in Christiana, along the Molle River in Copenhagen, and on the Gota Alv River in Gothenburg. These mills shall be subsidized by the Scandinavian government before transferring to fully private ownership. State subsidies will also be extended to the Brede Works in Copenhagen and the Bergslagen Iron Mines.

On the Baltic Territories
   Following the conclusion of the Baltic Commission, the government is pleased to announce the following reforms for the Baltic Territories:
   I . Beginning in 1839 the position of Baltiskaministerstatssekreterare shall be elected at large from all voting eligible males in the Baltic Territories. This position will have a guaranteed in every government.
   II . The governors of the ten Baltic provinces shall be convened into the Baltiska Statsradet which shall advise the Baltiskaministerstatssekreterare  on local matters of state.
   III . The Baltiska Foretag is hereby established and shall direct funding for the modernization of the Baltic Territories. With its governing body in Riga, this corporation will be tasked with investing funds into the nascent Baltic industry, and in beginning the process of land reform in the Baltic Territories.

Treaty of Leizhou

I . The Chinese Empire recognizes the Leizhou Concession as a legitimate holding of the Kingdom of Scandinavia.
II . The Chinese Empire agrees to a 50% reduction on tariffs on imported Scandinavian goods.
III . The Kingdom of Scandinavia agrees to permit trading at Leizhou from Joseon and other merchants engaged in trade at Leizhou prior to the establishment of the concession.
IV . The Kingdom of Scandinavia agrees to forbid the settlement of missionaries at Leizhou.

Proclamation from Stockholm

On the Treacherous Murder of the Prussian King Frederick III
   The House of Oldenburg, and indeed all of Scandinavia mourns the death of the late King, His Majesty Frederick III of Prussia. Due to the marriage of Adolf Frederick and Louisa Ulrika, the Houses of Oldenburg and Hohenzollern are bound, and as such the grief of the Royal Family is especially deep. In honor of King Frederick’s memory, a national day of mourning is hereby declared for the 3rd of February, 1839, and special services shall be held throughout the constituent realms in his memory.
   While peace yet persists between their two realms, the National Assembly has also placed all relevant aid at the disposal of the Prussian Crown for the investigation of the dastardly bombing of the Charlottenburg Palace. This shall include access to relevant documents from both the Scandinavian State Archives in Stockholm, and the newly acquired Russian State Archives in St. Petersburg. With Europe in conflagration, the Utrikesstatsminister Gustaf Algernon Stiernold shall be the designated Scandinavian envoy to the funeral services for King Frederick III, and shall pay his respects to the newly anointed King Frederick IV.
   
On the General Conduct of the War
      King Frederick, Queen Catherine and the entire National Assembly hail the efforts of the Scandinavian army in the previous year. In one swoop Ingria has been taken, and with it Finland and the Baltic Territories made secure.
      Scandinavia did not want war and indeed, in the lead up to the Great Eastern War took every effort for the maintenance of the peace. Yet, instead of finding a similar effort in the halls of St. Petersburg, our efforts for peace were met with a stony silence. Upon discovering a Russian plot to betray their allies and seize a wide swath of the Habsburg Patrimony, Scandinavia was left with no choice but to intervene in accordance with the Prague Convention, a document which still holds weight in Stockholm.
      Scandinavia has no territorial ambitions on Russia and would welcome a mediation to bring about general peace on the continent. Central and Eastern Europe has been home to its share of blood-letting in the past half century, and Scandinavia has no desire to see another long episode of barbarism take place.

On the Capture of the Tsar Paul and the Escape of the Crown Prince
   It is now widely known that Tsar Paul, Grand Duke Alexander, Prince Ivan, and various other members of the Russian Royal Family have fallen into the custody of the Scandinavian Army. They shall be treated with all due respect and transported at once to apartments befitting their station. They shall be afforded all luxuries expected of a ruling royal family, and shall further be provided with security to ensure that their safety is guaranteed while in Scandinavia.

Gothenburg Protocol

1.) The signatories hereby recognize the importance of their mutual interests, and commit to the preservation of friendly relations between their two states.

2.) For the remainder of the Great Eastern War, the Kingdom of France shall guarantee the integrity and security of the Scandinavian colonies in Africa against foreign powers, acting as a protector. This protection may entail the commonly-agreed deployment of 100 French advisors per colony to deter acts of aggression.

3.) The Kingdom of Scandinavia hereby commits to a reduction of tariffs placed on France in the Scandinavian African territories. The Kingdom of Scandinavia further pledges the promotion of the French language as a second language in its colonies.

4.) The Kingdom of Scandinavia recognizes the Kingdom of Padania as the legitimate government in its administered territories.
