Sen. Cory Booker is expected to easily win reelection in November 2020, after running a mediocre presidential campaign.

The center-left Democrat is expected to face two sacrificial lamb South Asian American Republicans, which is a typical sight in NJ. Most South Asian Americans are Republicans due to fiscal and social conservatism.

This isn't true, but it's definitely a good idea for the NJ GOP to target this rapidly growing population (especially in the affluent parts of Central NJ) for their path back to relevance in the longrun.

Bro have you met NJ South Asians? Older generations are somewhat conservative but they're reliable Democratic voters.

I have no doubt Booker will win in a landslide. People don't understand how much NJ hates Trump RN, which will only drag down downballot Rs. Newark hates Trump. Jersey City hates Trump. Affluent white flight suburbs hate Trump. Rural conservative towns hate Trump. Southern NJ largely hates Trump. I live in NJ, and I have yet to meet a single person who openly supports Trump.

Not Warren and Sussex, or Salem counties.

Booker may reach 60% or 62%

He is not going to sweep every county.

He will probably lose Hunterdon, Warren, Sussex, Cumberland, Somerset and Ocean

Monmouth is the bellwether, Atlantic is the bellwether

Somerset Republicans never voted for Booker because he is from "Newark"

What?!?! Somerset is obviously Safe Booker. He's going to win it by like 20 points, and it is obviously going to vote left of Monmouth.

Somerset only hasn't voted for him yet because his past two elections were in years with extremely abysmal turnout, even more so than the usual New Jersey turnout. Hell, part of it is represented by Bonnie Watson Coleman, you know.

Booker will only lose Warren, Sussex, Monmouth, and Ocean. He'll even take Morris.

That one I'm not sure about. I also don't think Booker wins Hunterdon, Salem or Cape May.
