I'm 6k words into the epilogue and there's no end in sight. I may have to postpone it until Sunday...
Oh my, this seems to be a bloodfest of epic proportions.

Of course, if a huge part of it has to do less with war and more of changing economic and political situations thatís cool.

Depending upon how far ahead the epilogue looks, it easily might have to deal with the European Potato Failure of the mid-1840's if Spamage includes historical natural disasters.  While historically, it hurt Ireland the most, all of Northern Europe was affected and it was a major contributor to the Revolutions of 1848.
Honestly I believe it is only going to be worse for Eastern Europe as famine is already widespread

Good! It'll open up space for Joseon colonists to settle in the next game.  Devil Devil Devil

It is finished, phew Tongue

Hope everyone likes reading, there's lots to do Wink

Thanks for a great game!

I planned entries for Poland, Britain, and Japan but really don't have any more energy to devote to that.

In short, a Catholic Republican regime was established in Poland, the realm collapsed into civil war within a couple of years with the onset of famine and opposition from the numerous other combinations of ethnicity and religions. The state was doomed by a lack of access to the sea. Eventually, after 6 or 7 years of fighting a younger Wettin is named as a compromise King, bound by a constitution and with ample autonomy given to the numerous minorities in the Kingdom of Poland.

A nice summary, tho obviously Sunwon mellowed in her later years since she finally started to listen to that voice in her ear that said Joseon needed a period of peace. Still, I think she was largely content with how things turned out. They weren't as good as she would've hoped, but far better than she feared.

A few minor map quibbles I'll PM Spamage about.

Hello all! Several former players inquired about the population distribution at the end of the game. Here it is! Surprisingly, the only power to see an outright decrease was the Dutch, though the relative decreases are quite glaring as well (particularly Prussia and China).

Honestly,
If next season we start in 1890, I wouldn't be surprised if some kind of war happened in Europe and in other parts of the world before we can play again.

I will go further. I think everything will depend on Charlotte, whether she ends up having a son or not. If she doesn't have a son, Louis XIX will die and will be replaced by the pacifist Xavier: NO WAR.

If she ends up having a son, Louis XIX will die and she will act as her regent. And an european war is definitely going to happen.

While the time period was apparently previously covered by Balance of Power II, the circumstances are considerably different, so I think the 1860s rather than 1890s are likely to be the time period of the next game, especially given Spamage has already started to take the steps to be prepared for a start date of 1860 in the next game.

We stopped last game in 1790 to then restart it in 1835. Honestly for roleplay stuff I think it is better to restart in 1880-1890 but obviously this is Spamage's choice.
