My sincerest apologies, but I have reached the point in which I'm forced to drop out as well. Have more or less managed to carry on despite RL pressure, but I did recieve some bad news this week (family related, as some of you know) that have made it very difficult - if not impossible - to concentrate.

If I can help in any other way to keep the game going (issuing very general directives or something like that) please do let me know. In the meantime, I can only say that, as usual, it was yet another brilliant round from the master himself, and probably (quite likely!) one of the most challenging experiences I've had.

I am quite sad to see Lumine go, but his departure largely signals what has been fairly apparent for a while. With the election coming up my attention really is going to be elsewhere over the course of the next month and I probably won’t have the time to keep up the GM duties to the extent that I have been. As such I’ve decided that this turn will be the last of the game. I’d like to request that players submit their longterm aims of they are not currently in a war or provide military orders and their war goals, if they are. The deadline will still be Tuesday. Players are free to keep making agreements until the game is concluded.

I’ll work on a sizable summary covering the conclusion of events detailed in game, broader implications, and where that leaves the game world heading forward. This update will probably take a while to write, so expect it later next week or even the weekend after.

I’m really sorry to hear that, I’ll keep you and your family in my prayers Sad

I've been thinking about it and the two topics I have for the midturn can probably wait to be bundled in with the rest. Both would make more sense in a concluding summary.

My long-term goals are in tho I reserve the right to revise and extend them thru Tuesday.  I also am still working on some internal measures for the current term.

It's a little late to try diplomacy, don't you think?

Is there an idea of when the epilogue will be ready? I’m interested to see how things shake out.

I just posted a Joseon epilogue of sorts in the gameplay thread, tho it mostly was a look back at the game events from a Joseon perspective.  The only significant new piece of info was when I'd like the regency to end and Heonjong to rule in his own right, tho I hope y'all like the flavor text included in the post. One of the intriguing things about the Joseon Kingdom was that they had official historians keeping track of everything the king said or did and then after he died, they'd use their notes to write an official biography of the king's reign.  (In the rough drafts, there are several instances of kings saying they'd prefer the historians omit something, which they would do in the final version, but the rough draft would mention both the event and the king's desire it not be recorded,

I’m calling it now, Britain or France is the TBA and they’re going to launch an offensive in the Southeast of Iran. I’m probably DOA in the next two turns of the new game

Oh my, this seems to be a bloodfest of epic proportions.

Of course, if a huge part of it has to do less with war and more of changing economic and political situations that’s cool.

Depending upon how far ahead the epilogue looks, it easily might have to deal with the European Potato Failure of the mid-1840's if Spamage includes historical natural disasters.  While historically, it hurt Ireland the most, all of Northern Europe was affected and it was a major contributor to the Revolutions of 1848.
