I'm sorry I'm gonna have to resign from the game for now because I have too much going on and that's only gonna get worse in the next few weeks. I've won the Chinese Civil War and I certainly don't want that progress to be ruined because of my inactivity. Its been fun and I'll return in a few weeks hopefully.

Bummed to see you go, but I totally understand.

I hate to leave at this point, but I'm afraid I have to drop out for real this time. I'm just too busy to give the game the attention it requires.

Thank you for playing! This iteration would probably not have occurred had you not reached out to me. Smiley

On another note, I've been working with some old population data to try and create estimates of how many people were in each realm at the start of the game. Now, there's obviously going to be some variation in interpretations or estimates, but I think this provides a fairly accurate picture. Interesting, the total for this world (if the estimate for Africa is around 110 M, like OTL) is less than OTL. Fairly reasonable I suppose, given the decimation of certain populations during the mid and late 1700s. Hopefully at the end of the game I'll be able to give an updated summary.

Just was meant to be a fun mental exercise, don't get too hung up on any one total. These are based on starting borders. Obviously I couldn't include everything Wink

Spamage,

Do you have a preference between last minute orders or early orders with amendments sent as required due to diplomacy?

I've been doing the latter, but I notice some people are doing the latter, presumably to avoid having to amend their orders.

Either or works for me, it really is up to the player. Generally early orders allow for me to get a feel for how the turn is developing and understand what way things are headed (modifications due to diplomacy are perfectly fine, and to be expected). Later orders have the benefit of being final and complete.

I'm fairly confident I caused some disruption this turn.

Absent some unexpected calamity, I have my internal orders for the next turn ready and so eagerly await the posting of the turn so I can get them out of my drafts folder.  They consist of acts detailing the structure of local government, fleshing out the court system of the Joseon realm, more railway building, and last but not least a vaccination program to eliminate smallpox.  The longer Spamage takes to post the turn, the more world-building mischief I might get into.

Endturn is up. Per usual I will start work on the next turn in the next couple of days. I used PSOL's already submitted orders for Persia.

Windjammer's character (Louis XVIII) is dead, but he has confirmed he will continue as France. If anyone wishes to join a Russia or Persia, the next few days will be the time to do so.

Let me present you my new character : Grandmother Queen regent Marie Ferdinanda. She has vowed to not die until all his Grace's enemies are dead and evil has been driven from the realm.

Who would have thought there could be two grandmother regencies at the same time.

Actually, there are THREE grandmother regencies. Remember Joseon? Cheesy
