It's nice being an island of stability. 😼

The nice thing about playing a nation that allows polygamy is you get to do multiple weddings without resorting to the Henry VIII solution. 🙀
Technically we’re playing nations that allow polygyny, which while a form of polygamy, is not the same as fully legalized polygamy.

Technically, I was trying to be interesting, not boring, which is why I chose not to use the narrow technical term, despite it being technically more accurate.

Turn 4 has begun. As I will be on vacation next Thursday-Sunday, we'll have it end on Tuesday the 25th with no extension. Mid-turn will be posted late Wednesday or before I leave on Thursday.

My computer stopped working today and simple reboot isn't working. I'm not sure how serious the issue is yet and I should be able to work around it but I'm just warning in case.

I suppose this midturn is going to be about Brazil and the war in America?

I think there's plenty going on in Eurasia as well.

The only continent likely to have no news is Antarctica, and maybe Africa or Australia. ( I could easily see a French, Spanish, or Japanese invasion of Dutch Australia.  Maybe even all three.  Devil  However, France, Spain, and Japan all have concerns elsewhere, so peace in Australia is likely.)

As my wifi only came back a few days ago due to the derecho, I request that the midturn be postponed. Alternatively, I would prefer that military orders be forbidden, as it basically turns one turn into two and gives us half as much time to plan our moves. Because of the derecho and lack of wifi, I have had no such time.

Perhaps we could move the midturn to the next day or two days after? That’ll leave 4-5 days for the 25th; could be enough time.

Reading Spamage's post, it doesn't sound like the midturn can be delayed as he physically will be unable to do so. The midturn will be fine where it is.

Yes, I will be completely unavailable midday tomorrow through midday Monday. (There might be windows of availability but I'm honestly not sure whether I'll have an internet connection or not).

Although I can't delay the midturn, I will grant this request against military orders between players for the time being (ergo, I'll generally exclude player v player military actions). In areas with no or limited player involvement, or player interactions with an NPC, I reserve the right to make things happen.

Windjammer was very astute. Yes, Brazil is Catholic Republican and will be played by X.

A real shame, as it'll mean both of my closest neighbors will have gone NPC. It's not nearly as much fun to plot against the GM.  Devil Devil Devil

Worst case, if it's too boring, then you could always switch to a different country

Or expand and get new neighbors that way.  Devil Devil Devil Perhaps Joseon should establish some colonies in Europe and send missionaries to convert the heathen to Neo-Confucianism.

Hey all, got back a bit later today than anticipated. I know I didn't want to extend the turn, but for ease of processing I'm going to extend it 24 hours to the 26th. Thanks. Smiley

Oh, most definitely. Wink

I have a lot to sort through again, it’ll be a little bit before the end turn is up.
