Here is the final verstion of the bill. If there is no more debate before I return home from school at about 2:45 CST I will open up the final vote.

I. After a majority vote of the citizens of Puerto Rico voting in the affirmative for statehood in a referendum administered five days after the passage of this act by the territorial government of Puerto Rico, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico is hereby entered in the Union of Atlasia as the 51st state under the name of Puerto Rico.
II. Puerto Rico shall become a State in the Southeast Region.
III. Puerto Rico shall be assigned to District 4 until the next round of redistricting when commensurate with the Constitution it shall be liable to be moved to another District.
IV. The State of Puerto Rico shall be given full rights from whichever district/region it’s placed into and be under full jurisdiction of the Atlasian constitution.
V.  Section 2 of the Miscellany Act shall be amended, following a majority of the citizens of Puerto Rico voting in the affirmative to grant Puerto Rico statehood, to contain a clause 4, the text of which shall be as follows: "Puerto Rico is contiguous to Florida", and a clause 5, the text of which shall be as follows: "Puerto Rico is contiguous to Maine".

This bill has enough votes to pass. Senators now have 24 hours to change their votes.

I hardly think that this Bill, if passed and signed into law, which would allow Puerto Ricans the choice of statehood , is imperialist

And of course I will have a veto override on this. I hereby open up the vote on the override of of Ebowed',s veto. Please vote Aye, Nay or Abstain.

I am just curious why you vetoed this Ebowed when you said you would support Puerto Rico's right to vote for statehood before?
