The part of the ToS that this would be at issue is the line forbidding things that "promotes racism, bigotry, hatred, or physical harm of any kind against any group or individual or is otherwise objectionable."

From my reading of that, I don't think it would necessarily be an issue; there have been games involving those subjects before. Playing as a character and promoting the problematic issues that they championed are not the same. We've had characters who supported slavery, colonialism, and segregation without incident. It would be practically impossible to play any history game older than a few decades if people promoting those issues couldn't be played. As long as the player avoids emphasizing atrocities or taking things outside the game by doing things like putting Nazi stuff in a signature I don't have a problem with it.

How about no one plays as Heindenburg as he is senile and no one plays as Hitler since he's literally Hitler.

If your're doing a Weimar Republic game, you kind of need Hitler and the Nazis. Now, a player could go out of their way to sabotage their chances of winning (I'd approve of that), but someone should play as them, as they are rather important figures.

As for Hindenburg, he might be slipping into senility, but I always got the feeling that he just underestimated Hitler, like pretty much everyone else in Europe.

Also, there is a Presidential election in 1932, that would have to be played out...so someone would have to play as Hindenburg anyways.

I'd like to play as someone like Otto Wels or Kurt Schumacher.
