The projection is strong with this one:

Trump says Obama may have committed treason

Quote
President Trump on Monday suggested without evidence that his predecessor, former President Obama, committed treason in connection with the investigation into the 2016 Trump campaign's contacts with Russia.

Both Presidents who extrajudicially assassinated innocent US citizen children in Yemen committed treason.

Treason of course implies any opposition to the Great and Infallible Leade3r.

Obviously, as if my writings here cannot fail to suggest otherwise, I despise Donald Trump. As a Democrat I find him less scary than I would as a Republican. All that we Democrats need do to undo the pernicious influence of this horrible man is to defeat him electorally.

Of course we have further danger down the line...but if you are a wildlife photographer and you have suddenly encountered some angry dogs, then fending off or escaping those dogs matters more at the time than does preparing to encounter tigers in the Sundarbans. (In India, dogs kill more people than do tigers. Rabies, largely). Trump has stirred up some populist contempt for educated people, and that isn't going away permanently. Rich and powerful people will be looking for someone else to achieve their plutocratic agenda once Trump shows no chance of doing so.

Donald Trump forgot to outlaw, purge, co-opt, or render us irrelevant first. That is the first rule of dictatorial power. Lenin shut down the Constituent Assembly of the Russian Republic when it tried to convene. Hitler quickly passed legislation that outlawed all political parties other than his Nazi Party and prohibited the formation of any other party. Pinochet shut down the Chilean parliament  and started ruling by decree.

If you are a Republican, you wonder when Donald Trump will turn upon you.

Isn't this invalidated by Trump's impeachment argument that the President can do literally whatever the f**k they want if they believe it's for the good of the country?

Yes, this is true. But consistency of this sort has never really mattered for Trump. And it's Obama we're talking about - Trump has a hateboner for him.

Yup, Obama asked foreign leaders to dig up dirt against Mitt Romney's son and asked the PRC to help him with reelection. Obama also stood next to Mr. Putin and sided with him over his own intel community. Oh wait... it wasn't Obama?
