http://www.weaskamerica.com/surveys/nh-election-survey-results

Sampling period: June 13-15, 2020
Sample size: 500 likely voters
MoE: 4.38%

Sununu 59%
Feltes 20%
Undecided 21%

No results for Volinsky or any other races. I suspect he's a better candidate for the GE, but we've only one poll for him so far (tbf, it indicates this is true).

Safe Republican.

Sununu would actually give Hassan a run in 2022, when she's up for reelection. Especially in a Biden midterm. I think he may be looking at this option since he declined to challenge Shaheen this year, which would have been a lot tougher since she's a stronger incumbent and 2020 will likely be a better year for Democrats. Democrats would definitely be more endangered to lose this seat in two years as opposed to Nevada.

Why does the people of NH think that Sununu is somehow moderate.

The state doesn't have a sales tax, unlike the FICA that helps to pay for Sociak Security and Unemployment, no sales tax helps Sununu to continue as Gov. While at the Fed level, NH wants to keep the pressure on Rs to lift the cap on the wealthy to expand SSA benefits for its Seniors. That's why Hassan and Shaheen and Ds lead the House.

Similarly, to FL, whom have no state income taxes, but dont mind the rich to pay a little more to extend Social security

Sununu will win

Sununu is one of the two Governors that completely baffles me with how many Democrats like him, the other being Greg Abbott in Texas.

Because they’re incredibly gullible? Literally every one of their governors has sky-high approvals, even when they’re blatantly partisan.

They don't. Smiley "nice guy FF Smiley" suburbans are fine with a conservative in power as long as you come off as inoffensive (see: Kelly Ayotte). Even if he hasn't outright gone full #NeverTrump, he's done enough (especially wrt COVID) to come off that way.

As for the poll, the gap will absolutely narrow like it did in 2018 (the huge gap is because of name recognition), but he'll most likely win. Likely R.
